This is a very interesting thought.
However; what’s Elon took over, I think they were finding out that behind the scenes people were being charged an exorbitant amount for their blue check mark. So you could just buy one basically. It was something only the elites could have. But now, anyone can have them for eight dollars. So for all the people that are bitching and complaining, I think they’re pissed off, because they paid that exorbitant amount, and now they lost, but they paid for. So I’m having to pay another eight dollars a month, is what chapping there hides. Why should you have to pay another eight dollars a month, when you already paid $15,000?
hmmmmmmmmmmm.....so their asses are chapped because now the cattle and sheep can be on even playing ground with them? i do think they had fake bots making them look like they had more followers then they really do as well.

There’s nothing elite about an eight dollar charge for everyone. Definitely levels the playing field. These people have never been on a level, playing field in their life, and it shows and how they’re reacting to this minor charge of eight dollars a month. Each and every one of them that’s crying about this, they all know… They could easily afford it. But it’s not about the eight bucks. It’s about them not being special anymore.

Agree with most of the comments posted this far. $8 is nothing... so what else is going on here? Not being catered to (“elevated”) is part of it, but I don’t think it is everything. I think it is a ticket or a pass into something else...? Don’t sort of “secret” handshake or nod.
