To be expected. NY(C) has had a massive exodus of the remaining sane people there. There are now too few of them in that area to affect change.
At the same time it has had an influx of woketards from other states that fled the new SUPER TYRRANICAL anti-pedo laws and are going to pedo-sanctuary, so they can virtue signal all day every day.
NY will get a lot worse before it gets better and will only get better after it has been more or less destroyed. Too late to be fixed.
While Chicago Detroit Kenosha Seattle lost Angelis are stark examples of leftist lunacy, the NYC suburbs are just getting started and determined to catch up.
Schools in Westchester are focused on “social emotional” “identity” development instead of academic learning.
Yep. Where they are still strong they will clamp down harder. It's exactly "The beatings will continue until morale improves." mindset. And it's ultimately a loser because the more they clamp down the more the previously oblivious are affected, take notice, and begin to think "Hey, wait a minute...". That's good. Pretty soon it wlll only be a handful of progressive enclaves all in on the state boot and hard to hide that it's them wanting to retain power at all costs.
Mildly related, a plurality of states (27) now have no license concealed carry. Nebraska just passed theirs a week ago and Florida 2 weeks before that. This is a clear example of conservative gains and majorities. If progressives dominant there would only be a handful of states with this. I live in a blue state that was "May Issue" before the Bruen decision. They immediately flipped to "Shall Issue" after the ruling rather than fight a class action from people denied their CCW.
I lost my job in 2008 when company shifted to China manufacturing. Financial chaos and I sold off my guns. Figured then I could rebuy when my situation improved. Eventually it did but the amount of new people buying guns both created shortage and pushed prices waaaaaay up. Especially so on older/collectible ones which was what mine were, should have bought back in 10 years ago. Need to get on that especially now. But the takeaway is that the gun owner base has never been stronger and that frankly amazes me.
A sibling lives there. Her comment on it that CO was hard right red until ~12 years ago. The left anchored their majorities in a few big cities and drive the state from that. The rest of the state too spread out to make a difference now. Is that how you see it too?
NY is getting worse though...

Heard of “police reform”?

/we're winning on this one
Actually this is huge and it's kind of kept hush hush from the demonstream media, unsurprisingly.
NJ used to be a 'never issue' state essentially. Now it became shall issue. Unimaginable but it did happen.

Something tells me we havent seen the end of Dems switching to Reps. I wont be surprised if most states turn out to be Rep lead.

Read the article comments. Once of them uses the term "Retrumplican" in an attempt to slur the Republican party. I kind of like that, actually! 🤣
