Same. Not with everyone, but certainly all the professing Christians in my family. The vitriol is soul crushing. I've quit talking about it and most things important to me because none of them have any discernment about the things of this world.
A. The sheer amount of people who have ZERO and I mean ZERO intellectual capacity to even digest what's happening right now. Not a clue. No connect the dots, no curiosity even. Just nothing.
B. The amount of people with the intellectual capacity to realize something isn't right but simply do not care.
I’d say I fall into B a lot of times. I care, but I also recognize this world is a temporary existence. If you get too caught up in the BS of our times it will eat you alive. I trust God has this.
It is because their profession of Christianity is not based upon true faith of the heart and personal revelation by the spirit - that requires a certain amount of clear critical thinking. Theirs is but a superficial following of a scripted Christianity that has no depth or power to change lives. They can recite the narratives to a tee. But, does it penetrate their soul? Therefore, why be surprised when they follow other scripts and narratives.
Our Master told some of his disciples, depart from me, I never knew you. Ouch! That statement should give us all pause and give us reason to take personal inventory of our relationship with God.
I have no idea why this is. I am a christian and every time I broach any subject like this to other christian i am met with scorn and fear.

Their carnal minds can't see and hear what the Spirit is saying, they follow after their flesh. Frankly they're not ready to let go of this world.
It's on us to warn them though, so as to not have their blood on our hands.
From 2 Thessalonians 2-11
"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie"
If I can save just one I will be happy, there do seem to be those in my congregation that might listen, I pray that God be in my voice.
