The only question in my mind is, what will Putin decide to do in response?
If he does nothing, I think his days are numbered and he will be replaced by a hardliner (aka, Ukraine - goodnight Vienna).
My prediction is that there will now be attacks on Ukraine 'decision making centres' and senior military and Government officials will be targeted. Better than that would be if the Special Military Operation is upgraded to an anti-terrorist operation.
PS, I'm picking up reports that Ukraine is currently lighting up like a pinball machine with air-raid warnings.
I didn't understand the strategy before, but after a year of it, it is about minimising lives of civilians and even Russian soliders. The play I reckon was to draw out the Azov's resources, who are being supplied by the NaziATO countries, and in turn draining their resources.
Under supplied NATO is now in a very weak position militarily, and if you look at Europe, it is surrounded and on its lonesome to some degree.
Maybe this was the plan, too, 19 countries want to sign up to BRICs and BRICs GDP is now just a fraction more than the G7, and growing fast.
Yeah, note how it has taken a long time for the Russians to take Bakhmut.
I think they knew that it would keep on drawing in Ukrainian and NATO troops and the Russians found the kill ratio suited them to they wanted to fight in Bakhmut for as long as it pulled Ukrainian troops in.
Might not be right, but that is a kind of Russian pattern.
Some important clarification from Russia concerning retaliation after the drone strike on The Kremlin...
Let’s take this from the view of an information war supposing that America is at least in part, responsible for the Ukrainian drone strike...
Russia, and Putin, have been portrayed inside the Unicorn Zone as bloodthirsty tyrants who attacked innocent Ukraine without provocation and then marched through towns committing war atrocities on civilians...
Now the West, through their proxy regime in Kiev, attempts an assassination on Putin...
If Russia retaliates with brute force on Kiev that reinforces the narrative. But by publicly stating that they are justified in retaliating but will not do so out of respect for the lives of Ukrainian civilians that negates the narrative...
It seems Russia is consistently working to show the reality of their intentions against a backdrop of an inaccurate narrative...
I couldn't say what you said any better, I think Putin will take his time, then take out big assets in Ukraine, maybe undeclared NATO ones. He just did that with a Kinzhal to an underground command bunker in Lvov.
I think Ukraine did it (or NATO if you prefer)
On a recent militarysummary video the Duma said that Ukraine was flying explosive laden drones over Russia which were lurking until they ran out of fuel. He assumed they were hunting a particular target.
The UkroNazis lie like there's no tomorrow.

Watch and shoot, watch and shoot...
Instinctively, I agree 100%.
However, the problems with that are as follows:
Despite what the MSM say about Putin he has always tried to minimise civilian (ie, non-Nazis) casualties and
More than anything else, he must keep China, India and Brazil etc etc on side.

Sometimes you must show them...😉😁

It will escalate (how can it not now?) which will bring us closer to the Nuclear precipice which is what Q hints at.
