Yeah this makes no sense. During the pregnancy doctors knew she was going to birth a baby that was going to die right after birth because they don’t have any kidneys. But the way it’s presented by cnn is that it is abortion laws that prevented them from getting an abortion...

It was the choice of the parents, they could have got an abortion if they wanted because this was a terminal condition. Did they not want to out of hope? Or as the article suggests, which would be disgusting, politically motivated?

How is being torn limb by limb in your mother‘s womb better than dying naturally in your mother‘s arms?

Presumably in utero the baby used the mother’s kidneys. When he was born and separated from the umbilical cord, shouldn’t the doctors have hooked him up to a kidney machine instead of leaving him helpless in his mother’s arms?
