Brennan moved him from CIA to NSA so that he could leak the programs being used to gather evidence of DS crimes. This gave Obama an excuse to shut down those programs and persecute whistle-blowers.

As soon as I saw the Hollywood movie glorifying Snowden as a hero, that confirmed to me that he's a traitor.
Snowden was a DS operative.
