Are you suggesting that the public, and law enforcement should ignore this? Because that kinda sounds like what you're trying to say. I really hope you're not trying to suggest that.
If so, the headline should have read, "Breaking News! Pentagon admits it accidentally leaked toxic chemicals into the ___ river in 2018, poisoning local fisheries" or some such.
Im sure that the water contamination at Camp LeJune was just another effort of the military to test some pathogen or poison on unsuspecting citizens. Something they seem to always do.
It's old news. It's not "breaking." This is referring to an incident from 5 years ago. Any harm that would have been caused has long since run it's course.
We have no link to the actual report. We're just taking this yokel's word for it. USAMRIID is one of the world's premier biological labs, one of only a tiny handful of BSL4 labs capable of handling ebola. You don't get BSL4 certified without a half a dozen redundant safety systems in place specifically to reduce risk in the event of things like this. We're not getting the full story from this Twit's twittering.
We have no actual reports of harm from 2018 that would indicate this leak actually amounted to anything.
Even without going through a long list of lab safety measures that certainly would have been in place to ensure that live anthrax and ebola did not escape, we have nothing here to indicate any actual harm was done. It's a "near miss." Redundant safety systems worked and mitigated the harm, which is why you're hearing about it 5 years later from a technical report referenced in a book released in 2018 instead of on live, breathless, minute-to-minute "news" coverage like we get with the "mass shootings."
This is a report from 2018 - read the rest of this person's tweets. This is not a current emergency!
Are you suggesting that the public, and law enforcement should ignore this? Because that kinda sounds like what you're trying to say. I really hope you're not trying to suggest that.
I am objecting to this being written as BREAKING NEWS!
When it is OLD NEWS.
This happened 5 years ago. Why post it like it just happened and is a current threat at this very moment? That is fake news/fear porn.
Is the “Breaking News” part that the Pentagon just admitted it? Not the (intentional?) poisoning of the waters.
Exactly
If so, the headline should have read, "Breaking News! Pentagon admits it accidentally leaked toxic chemicals into the ___ river in 2018, poisoning local fisheries" or some such.
Then I'd have no issue with the post.
Im sure that the water contamination at Camp LeJune was just another effort of the military to test some pathogen or poison on unsuspecting citizens. Something they seem to always do.
There are about a million things wrong with this.
Stop the fear porn.
