You might want to talk to VA benefits. I get seen in Indianapolis VA dental at VA hospital. As long as you are 100% service connected you should be good to go.
There are companies out there that can help you get to 100%. I wish I could remember the names but I’m sure you could find it online. Friends of mine only did 4 yrs and they are going through the process. Once 100% service connected, you will get the dental access. If you served our country you deserve it!
You should have a full retirement from the military being able to retire after 20 years. You should be able to go to any military base and use the hospital or the commissary bx or px , your comment seems off.
I'm sorry but there's no such thing as homeless anyone in the United States. Veterans have just as much access, if not more, to government welfare programs of all kinds, as anyone.
Homeless people aren't homeless. They're drug addicts. Whether they served in the military or not. End of story.
If they're holding a sign, they're buying wine (and heroin).
It is true. There is literally no excuse for being homeless in this country unless you're completely ignorant of the SCORES of programs, not just federal and state, but many times, in specific cities, OR....you're a fucking meth head or heroin junkie or something like it.
Sorry not sorry. You're either one or the other.
The only other group are the severely mentally ill, but they're often also drug addicts so...moot point.
I do not do drugs or drink. Also not a vet. I ended up homeless for two months because of an abusive spouse.
Also, I have severe mental health issues. Still not a drug addict or alcoholic. Never have been. I also don’t receive disability because the hoops you have to jump through are insane and I would likely not qualify because I live with my parents, who are also struggling. And it doesn’t pay much because I’ve never worked a “real” job. I can earn more money by stressing myself out to the max and trying to get art commissions, and even then I earn well below minimum wage.
I’ve looked into the government assistance programs. Guess what? I don’t qualify for anything but Medicaid and I’m losing that next month.
You ended up homeless because you don't know how to access government programs. Sorry but that's the truth. You literally had no excuse for living on the street, no matter what your abusive spouse did.
He wears his uniform for sympathy, he should be ashamed of himself. He could work or go to school if he really wanted. The truth is he probably gets more money doing this. This is coming from a ex army paratrooper that's had to start over from zero 3 times in my life. First when commercial fishing bottomed out in the late 80s again when NAFTA came to Ohio and took all the machine shop and auto industry out of country, the third time from a powerlineman injury, dude needs his ass kicked.
He can buy a house with no down payment,he has preference over everyone for a civil service job ,plenty of them at USA jobs.gov, he can go to trade school or college, Go play your violin someplace else.
Yeah, how dare he work only one job and not be able to survive. How dare he bitch and moan about having PTSD or not getting enough help from the VA.
How dare he not put himself through school even though he can’t possibly afford to raise an infant, work a job and pay for classes or find the time to attend them.
How dare he need dental care after putting his life on the line for our country.
Have some compassion, please. Not everyone is you. Not everyone has things work out as well as you have.
You too can play your violin someplace else. I too am a disabled vet. This guy is not even claiming to be disabled, and this pic is from 2015, and he is still milking people ???you can send him your money.
LOL no. The deep state DEMOCRAT media narrative is that there are all these just regular old people who are homeless all over the country just cause life is hard. It's bullshit. Look it up. Welfare and government housing is available EVERYWHERE. Not to mention unemployment insurance. What planet are you from? The Deep State wants us thinking there are millions of regular joe homeless families all over the country so they can keep bleeding us dry with taxes. THAT'S the Deep State media narrative, bro.
I literally travelled across the entire country once without using my savings, just working my way doing odd jobs across the country. Met hundreds, if not thousands of homeless people. They were:
A. Drug addicts
B. Nutcases
C. Criminals
D. All of the above
That was it. There's literally no excuse for being homeless in this country, no matter how much it hurts your feelings.
I don't care how many I don't see. I can read. And if you go online, or go literally into any public library, you can find people who work for the government and set people up with food, housing, and enough money to get by.
The only reason you'd actually be on the street is ignorance, drug addiction, insanity, or all three. Sorry bro. You didn't have to go through that. You just did.
Neither did Obama. The VA during his terms was criminal.
Yup, and Obama intentionally removed icons from VFW and legion halls , like old Sherman tanks and f100 fighters to purposely demoralize our vets .
His sign is correct. VA does not provide dental, or baby supplies.
Wish there was a link for this vet, he did a great job outlining his service and needs.
Ukraine, pay for play, illegal immigrants?? REALLY?? When vets like this are struggling??
And they wonder why recruitment numbers are down . . . SHEESH . . . the mandated vax, etc.
VA provides dental care if you are 100% service connected.
I’m 100% service connected. 23 yrs mil service. Two deployments to Afghanistan and one to Iraq. I have dental via VA. https://www.va.gov/DENTAL/Dental-Clinic-Locations-Finder.asp

This is a load of crap.

You’re grossly overgeneralizing.

Amen.
There are no homeless people in America. They're on the street by choice because they're drug addicts. Simple as that.
LOL no. The deep state DEMOCRAT media narrative is that there are all these just regular old people who are homeless all over the country just cause life is hard. It's bullshit. Look it up. Bullshit. I spent several months among the homeless. They're not homeless.
I don't care how many I don't see. I can read. And if you go online, or go literally into any public library, you can find people who work for the government and set people up with food, housing, and enough money to get by.

The amount of homelessness wasn't like this when Trump was in office.
