About two weeks ago, I started coming down with a serious case of food poisoning.
I was bedridden for almost a week, with awful nausea and diarrhea.
Those two symptoms have passed. However, ever since I've been able to walk again, my chest--not my heart, my chest--has felt very weak, and my stamina is nowhere near what it once was.
I think I came very close to a heart attack today, after some yard work.
What do I really do/take to recover from this and lower my blood pressure, no cabal pseudoscience? For that matter, since we've apparently been lied to by the cabal about the necessity of cholesterol, what is the TRUE ideal blood pressure?
Before you say "lose weight," I'm already doing that. I've cut down on a ton of things, and have lost about 15 pounds so far. That started before the food poisoning incident.
Family is insisting I take something called metoprolol and losartan. I'm skeptical, hence me asking you.
I'm sorry you are going through this. I research natural medicine a lot for myself. It's hard to do research when you feel terrible! Sadly our medical system isn't very helpful. They only want to prescribe something to mask the symptoms. YouTube or other sites that have videos can be a good source unfortunately we have to weed through bad and harmful information.
In addition to the other great suggestions: To increase your stamina if you are up to it make a pot of chicken or vegetable soup. You can use crockpot if you don't want to babysit on the stove. I've found cooking a whole chicken in large pot in the oven is an easy way to get it tender and good stock. Add rice or egg noodles and seasoning. If you aren't up to cooking get some cheap ramen noodles. It's not very healthy but the seasoning packet has enough salt to get your electrolytes up. I keep them around just in case of times like this.
There's many plants that normalize blood pressure and are over all heart focused. I've had high BP over fifteen years and I'm overweight. For the past six months my BP has at a normal level. I believe taking Moringa daily since November 2022 has been the reason of my BP changes. (Short summary, Moringa fixes or stabilizes your body.) It's considered a detox and my experience has been stabilizing my bowel movements. I recommend to gradually get to full dose. At first it when you know you are going to be home just in case. Banyan Botanicals & Tribe Organics are good sources. Hopefully others can give other good sources.
Hawthorn is great for heart health. I prefer herbal liquid tinctures. Just a few drops in water a day. I order tinctures from small herbalist stores. I don't take it now that I've found Moringa helps BP and other conditions.
Scroll down on this link for a list of supplements and plant medicine for BP. Lots of sources online, I trust this doctors information. He left his medical practice when his mom got cancer and studied plant medicine in order to help her with getting cancer free.
Dr Axe
I pray for find what works for you. Plant medicine is amazing! It might take a while to figure out what's best for you. Our bodies are different so what works for others might not work for you. It might take up to six weeks to notice a difference using plant medicine.
Also look into medicinal mushrooms and chaga (not a mushroom but often put in the mushroom family.
I know this is gonna sound like a simple solution, but drink some Pedialyte. You can buy it and powdered sticks, and just add it to a bottle of water. It will help with rehydration, leg, cramps, headaches, etc.
I used to stuff all the time. Working outdoors in Arizona in the summer, the steps a lifesaver. But it’s also just good for somebody who sits in the house, or is just busy doing stuff living life. Whatever my mom gets a headache or leg cramps I gave her the Pedialyte and she feels much better.
With having the type of illness that you had for over a week, I can guarantee that you are dehydrated, and that can cause a lot of problems in your body.
Sounds like my mother was right to tell me to drink some Gatorade.
That being said, I'll try Pedialyte. Thanks.
Yeah, I lost A LOT of fluid when I was sick. I knew to at least drink a lot of water, which I've been doing.
Gatorade is a good substitute for Pedialyte, but there’s a lot of sugar and I mean a lot of it. If you can get the Pedialyte sticks, go for it. If not even get the Pedialyte liquid, it’ll help you feel better in no time.
Did you know if you drink Pedialyte before you go out drinking and afterwards that you don’t get hung over because hangovers are actually dehydration. Fun fact.
Yeah, I knew hangovers were just drying out the brain, but I don't drink anyway. Not on any moral grounds--I'm just afraid of what I'll say or do if I get drunk.
Olive leaf extract. Get it in capsules at NDC, or Richard's, etc.
-You might want to push for getting your potassium checked. Low potassium can certainly cause weakness/heart problems, etc… And getting that sick could be a likely thing to cause that to be depleted, especially if you were already low. You could try out taking a supplement for it and see if you feel better or worse afterwards if you’re brave and then tell your doctor if the outcome was good and you want an official monitored regimen…. But do know that potassium is one of those things we gotta stay in the goldilocks zone to keep safe.
-I agree with other comments about the cayenne. But also check out things known to thin blood, lower BP, or are anti-inflammatory in general. Tons of supplements exist and are fairly effective (especially when you don’t rely on a single one) and it’s more a matter of which ones you can get into your life and use consistently enough that you actually get the benefits.
-Try out going organic and avoid sugar for a bit. I hated when people said thing because surely I just need to figure out a balanced diet right? But when my medical issues flare, I have to cut out anything contributing to my inflammation. Don’t think of it as a forever thing, just treat it like a two weeks plan to give your body time for healing.
-Avoid heat processed oils like the plague friend, it’s crazy the institutions meant to help people called these oils “heart healthy” and has probably killed countless people. Definitely check out some research if you haven’t heard about this. — Lots of that crap sneaks into “healthy” foods, and you’ll probably become annoyed you have to make everything at home… But it’s not really restrictive once you’re cooking usual favorites at home as there are many great substitutes that don’t lessen the outcome.
-Look into research about sauna for blood pressure. As far as “health things” go it’s pretty pleasant and has research that suggests it can be really amazing for some people. (Also I’d avoid cold plunges, they have tons of benefits but making your blood vessels constrict.)
Thing you need a cooperative doctor for:
If you are having high blood pressure I implore you to demand your doctor check for blockages with at least ultrasound (and if they refuse ask them to add their refusal to your medical record). My mother almost died multiple times because her reported health problems only were met with blood work and stick-on heart monitors. Once they finally figured out to actually go look for a blockages…. She had to get a surgery removing a blockage and within a week said she felt better than she had in over 5 years, and is projected to feel even better in 4-6 months.
Cayenne Pepper capsules will lower blood pressure. They are easy to obtain through an on line source or at a health food store. I would eat very simply after a bad bout of food poising, for as long as you were bed ridden. Easy to digest foods, a 24 hour water fast can reset things. Don't forget pro biotics, they have to reset too. You can eat plain yogurt, use it as sour cream on veggies, carrots, drink kombucha, a small serving, of saurkraut, but only the fermented kind, not the one with vinegar. Rice, steamed veggies and boiled chicken for a couple of days. Your body has to reset.
