Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Today is Memorial Day. As a former soldier who once heard a bullet whiz by my left ear, I always wanted to give to the men and women in uniform who didn’t make it back home, or were heavily damaged after their service and not properly taken care of by the government they fought for and were let down by the VA. I especially have a soft spot for those who served during the Vietnam era, who were drafted, then plunged into a war that the government was determined not to win, looked the other way when they were spat on during their return to the country, didn’t fund VA services to a level that was needed and pardoned those who dodged the draft.
Since Trump’s election, the beginning of the Q drops, and with what I have read on VOAT and here on GAW, I began to look at Memorial Day in a different light. Knowing that globalists have started wars and try to extend them into forever wars, I began to look at my fallen comrades as victims of a very evil propaganda effort meant to further enrich members of a deep state cabal who are actively trying to destroy this great republic and establish a controlling global government. In our youth, we all believed we were fighting for a great country and for a great cause. After two years as an officer in M.I., I realized that we were being betrayed by enemies embedded in our government. Today, I view my fallen brothers and sisters as victims of the evil cabal that wanted them eliminated. How many America loving, Constitutional protecting men and women of the last 60 years are no longer here? How many America hating violators of our Constitution are still around operating to destroy this country with impunity? The reason why I am involved with our movement today, is to be part of a team that reverses this.
This morning, I had the privilege of speaking at a ceremony at a local cemetery. In an 8 minute speech, I dropped 3 red pills. Afterward, I refused an interview with my local paper and just told them that if they write anything about this, they should quote my speech accurately and in context. Instead, I spent two hours talking with a lot of people in the early stages of waking up. This involved vets, clergy, local politicians, teachers concerned with what’s going on in their schools, medical staff who have been too intimidated to speak out on what they’ve seen the past 3 years, and regular Americans of all ages. The oldest was 88 and the youngest was 7 who I hope to see reach adulthood in a truly free nation where a government is bound by the chains of the Constitution, is fiscally responsible not robbing their citizens, and justice is truly served. I hope that the seeds I planted this morning take root and grow.
To all of you who read this, make today more than a day off work and enjoy a backyard barbecue. Remember all the fallen who were victimized in this multi-generational information war.
Heard something very similar from a wonderful very at the Field of Honor today, if that was you, respect forever. If not, respect forever! We will never say "happy memorial day" to anyone ever again- we will say, "have a blessed Memorial Day," and help make sure no fallen warrior is forgotten.
Thank you, Berlin, for your service to our great nation. My dad served in WWII in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945, and lived the remainder of his days with a piece of shrapnel in his back as a continuous reminder of his Army stint. I miss him.
