Eh, it doesn't really put in question the validity of cLImAte cHange, it only makes fun of people always blaming it for everything.
Which is to be expected from clot adams
Well, he woke up to his being wrong about the shot, maybe he had a come-to-jesus moment about this scam too.
Never made a "real" apology just a "husband" apology His words
The one thing I saw where he kind of acknowledged being wrong, he basically refused to say he was wrong or gave any bad advice. More like "mistaken" in his understanding.
He tried to wake people up on how to just stay away from certain people if you're tired from never being able to relax.
True. But since climate change is everywhere (my company is doing stupid stuff to reduce climate impact), I think poking fun at it is the start of making it irrelevant.
I do agree with your view of Adams. I "watched" (listened while doing garage stuff) a couple of his "rants" when they were linked here as something worth watching, and aside from a point or two, thought he sounded like a stoned self important idiot.
I’m all in favor of doing stuff to refuse the environmental impact. Less plastic? Fuck yes. Cleaner systems? Absolutely. Nature is beautiful and Earth is a precious treasure. Keeping my planet clean is as important as keeping my home clean, my body clean, etc. About the climate…honestly, I don’t know. I’ve come to realize that I just have to accept that I’m profoundly ignorant. Aside from that, Covid red pilled me so hard that I no Longer know what to believe.
Absolutely agree. I don't produce much trash - the can would hold a month's worth of trash. Helps to have a compost pile for scraps.
I'm in favor of electric cars, for some things, but hate to see them mandated. I also hate the BS science around electric cars being better for the environment than ICE cars. ICE cars are not as bad as they are made out to be - CO2 is good for the environment. When electric car the battery chemistry changes (I think it's going to happen), then they will be much better environmentally. But, they still need to be charged by the grid, and no one fully takes into account that impact. So something will need to change with the grid as well.
As far as I have been able to find out - yes, the climate is changing, and it has been getting warmer for several decades, but it is probably mostly what would have happened without human influence too. But there is also probably some human influence. Although it most probably is less from CO2 than some other things, which would be for example land use, large scale farming and such. However, it's not exactly the huge problem it is made out to be. And trying to stop it in the ways we are now doing is not going to work. Would make more sense to figure out ways to adjust to it, or to any other big potential changes. The next glaciation period is still going to happen sooner or later, maybe now just later, and there will be catastrophes we will not be able to prevent by any means we have now, like huge volcano eruptions, so - find ways to prepare to anything rather than try to keep things as they are now.
The only thing certain on this planet is that things are going to change, drastically, sooner or later, will have and will. And you don't need to look at things only in the geological time scales. It has happened several times during the era humans have existed here, and most times due to completely natural causes.
We need to create societies that are able to adjust to sudden changes in our environment.
