Not everyone has gotten the clue. When this first started I saw a couple checking out with their case of Natural Light -- it would've been at once too late, pointlessly confrontational, and useless to tell them they traded one Bud Light for another.
My only problem with this wave of boycotts is that I long since quit Target, cancelled Netflix, Google, Fakebook, Twatter, etc.
I worked in a store brand soda factory that made about 20 flavors. Change cans and dump the small remainder of product down the drain. Hook up new flavor and put new cans on conveyer and new packaging on the packer.
Stock plunged, but doesn't matter until/if you sell.
But it might be better than Billy Beer was back in the 70s. Billy Carter's brand came out, the store I was working in at the time got one case, and never sold a single can. Now I wish I had bought it as a collectible.
"Granddad"? You must be a youngster. Billy Beer was less than 50 years ago. Billy Carter was Pres. Jimmy Carter's redneck brother. He got a lot of media attention back then, as they didn't care for Pres. Carter much.
It was the same price as all the other beers where I worked back then, 50 cents a can, if I remember correctly. This was before bar codes, so we had to know the prices of 12 oz. and 16 oz. beer, bottled and canned drinks, cigarettes, and candy bars. Most everything else had prices stamped.
Just proof they think we're stupid, and proof we need to boycott every shit beer that comes out of that company (if you purchase big co products to begin with).
There's a chart somewhere of what big company owns what, but I can't find it. It needs to be stickied if found.
No Long term effect on the corporation unless you boycott all their brands and any new ones they come out with. They will just keep switching brand names.
The thing is, this is not a local crowd, but a pretty good representative of national trends. Although Country Western is still dominant, Nashville tourism includes all genres of Music...
What part of "Anheuser-Busch" don't they understand?

I heard that Busch was just the bottom of the Budweiser tanks, but that could be just a myth. Sure tastes like it, though kek
Former St. Louisan here, been on the brewery tour a bunch of times (hey, free beer)
Busch above, Bud below, Michelob below that.
Bud Light, Busch Light, Natty Light...the collected piss of bums.
Boycott, girlcott, everybodycott this swill!

They can easily just come up with new artwork and ads...

We'll just have to boycott anything that tastes like horse piss, regardless of brand.
Lol yeah!
Exactly
If people are switching from Bud light today Busch light they are retarted. Not to mention both beers suck ass
Not surprised this happened in hillbilly Hollywood aka Nashville
