We raised our 4 kids all homeschooled along with a small community of like-minded homeschooling families. Today we have 4 very responsible adult kids and 4 grandkids. The kids grew up together (not split up in different "grades"). They are very very close with each other and are tremendously supportive of each other's struggles through life. When they reached adulthood, they were a quite unaware of the wretchedness in the world because they never saw broadcast TV in our home, but only what we put into the VCR. The world has infected them in some areas, but they seem to be returning now that they have kids of their own.
We're not perfect, but we're stable and happily living for the Lord.
I see it is BB but God forbid we should raise intelligent, literate children who can think on their own rather than these zombiefied children hooked up to video games, TV programing or phones/I Pads...what a curse technology has become...even though there are some great benefits...it is just a beast that needs to be tamed and controlled....
All I can say is I am glad I am not raising children in this day and age...I think it is such a challenge to overcome everything that has been done to destroy the family... like taking mothers out of the home as a starter...it is like trying to swim upstream against the current...the world is just such a different place...
One thing I notice is that the admin is much higher than it was when I was young. Schools want your attention all the time such as messages from teachers to parents on apps, fundraising events. Lots of little taxes.
Meanwhile the local highschools here in NJ have no final testing this year due to the kids being behind in academics from the pandemic. Everyone gets a free pass.

I am so glad. You are one smart parent.

Technology has it place but don't let technology teaches your children. The teacher should always be the parents.

Definitely a very difficult place.

Being a parent takes much more admin now.
But, but, what about their socialization? (Now we know what they meant.)
Bee sometimes give a more accurate picture of our world.
