It's called a cost benefit analysis or doing a Ben Franklin.
You owe it to yourself to look them up and try to figure it out for yourself because what's important or unimportant to us may be the opposite for you in your circumstance.
Here's my example. I live in illinois and hate it. Shitty politics and property taxes suck. I want to move back to wisconsin for my retirement. Factors to consider: IL doesn't tax retirement income WI does. The cost to sell my house will overshadow property tax saving. My kids and grand kids live in IL and I still want us to be a part of each others lives. It's more beautiful in WI but it's colder in the winter. See what I mean.
You need to make an honest list of the pros and cons of both situations and weigh them against each other. I have found that your pay tends to fit the living expenses of a given area. If they pay you more, it may because it costs more to live there. Score your results and test your feelings. In the end you will have more clarity of thought and less indecision about what to do. Doing this yourself will help you in the long run to be a happier and more content person with what ever choices you make. Sincerest Good Luck.
Unfortunately I don't think the cost comparison websites are all that accurate, and a website can't tell you what real world costs are, like a real person telling you how much winters suck, or how much summer sucks in Phx-bloody nose from the heat drying you out or heat strokes, the details...
NH has truly awful winters. The cost of living in New England will eat up that $20K/yr in a heartbeat.
Stay in AZ with your family support and start your business when the economy hopefully turns around. In the meantime, work hard and save your money in hard assets.
Thank you and everyone for the input, haven't seen one person say "move", I have a restored 91 mustang and reatored F250 with the 7.3, the winters would eat those things up... Actually the Mustang doesn't even touch rain in AZ...

Starr your own business . That’s what I am doing.
Yes. Lots of hours at first but well worth it. Prepare your loved ones though.
Lots of opportunities with the business world committing suicide daily. People are searching for alternatives.
The world is moving towards experiences.
People will pay for unforgettable memories.
Dang it, the sole voice whispering "dooooo it" lol
Why are there two posts about the same thing?

You didn't post this one as well?
It happens all the time. don't worry about ti.
I ask why there are two posts about the same thing and you go straight to dooming and shilling?
Why didn't YOU say anything to the mods when you realized there were duplicate posts?
Kinda defensive there over a simple question.
