I did literally just see a meme YT video of “listening to megadeath until they talk about the government” lol was pretty funny but I was never a fan, Metallica had a muchhh better sound.
My favorite is RtL ... MoP, while awesome, was a bit too "clean" recording-wise ... It didn't have that raw sound Ride had. Kill em All would be my third favorite, then Justice (saw them on that tour ... I made it to the front row close enough to read the "EET FUK" on Hetfield's guitar :-). Yeah I'm gettin' old :-) ... At least I got to see all of the great metal bands live in their prime :-) !!!
Loved death magnetic but lots of transhumanism shit in there. threw all their cds out the van window when I suspected them to be associated with cabal. Haven’t listened to em in years.
Master of puppets are pulling their strings... sad but true. Lol in all seriousness they’ve had their high points like any other band, but their decision to require vaccination status to attend a concert was a real “Lars” move.
Thats why on the alice In chains mtv unplugged the bassist guitar says written in sharpie “friends dont let friends get haircuts” ...Metallica was sitting in the front row.
Metallica has probably more catchy choruses and more groovy riffs, but Mustaine wrote many of early Metllicas songs thus helping shape the bands sound....and in terms of musical complexity and staying true to their sound throughout their career (save one album) Megadeth takes the cake. Metallica is bigger with massive hits but i think Megadeth is better with technical skill and production.

And justice for all is so fucking based. Harvester of Sorrow on repeat for hours on the road back in the day.
That was the last 'real' Metallica album in my opinion. They've basically been lame since then though their past two albums weren't bad.

Metalica is on the DS leash......
(see my other comment, the one band allowed to remain popular and in the charts after the birth of metal.......)
