He might not be able to get implants for some reason or other. My MIL tried to get them but had too much bone loss in her jaw.

Cool. Didn't know that. I was going by 2nd hand info. But there are other medical reasons why someone wouldn't be able to get them.
But I agree, if you have the money and need dentures or bridges, I think implants would be the best way to go.
