More poison food!
I was stupid about it until this year and realized it's vegetable oil. I'm a friggin' trained chef and never questioned it. I grew up with it and margarine. So gross. I use better fats now.
I must add that I slowly stopped using it years ago because of the partially hydrogenated trans fat junk.
HAVE BEEN OFF THAT SHISTA for several years NOW and have dropped my blood pressure to 117/71!!!!!!!
And off the chlorchestral pills!!!!
That's awesome!!
Way to go!
I worked in restaurants my whole life and it was everywhere.
When they started touting how 'good for you' it was, should have been a red flag that it wasn't.
Yep! I admit I've always wondered how they go oil from vegetables, you know, but never bothered to look i to it.
There's videos about how they do it. So gross.
I never bothered to look into it either, and thanks to what u/dty6 says, I probably won't!
I'm telling you. I stopped with the inflammatory oils and I feel so much better.
We've switched to olive oil and olives are technically a fruit, not a vegetable.
That's right! Avocado oil is good too and so is coconut oil.
Haven't tried those yet. Not a big fan of avocado and really don't like coconut at all. Do the oils taste like the foods? I don't like green olives (love the black, though), but the extra light virgin oil doesn't seem to have much olive taste, so it's fine.
