These people have no problem spending billions or even trillions when it comes to a foreign conflict we have no business being in like Ukraine.
It's only when it comes to taking care of our own American population that's been screwed over by a completely broken educational system that all of a sudden these "conservatives" start caring about spending money.
They'll think nothing of saddling our great-grandchildren with debt and selling this country out from under our feet, but when it comes to fixing the broken education system (which THE UNIPARTY CABAL BROKE) all of a sudden they have to cut back on the spending "for your own good".
Remember, the student debt crisis is a problem caused by the cabal running both sides of the government. They WANT students to be borderline indentured slaves for the rest of their lives due to debts that are impossible to pay off without family connections and money, or highly lucrative connections.
People in other countries get far better education and are saddled with far less debt than what our sorry excuse for a system provides.
Sure, some of these students have taken on debt they can't manage and made some bad decisions, I won't deny that... but I think this is really more of a symptom of a much, much bigger problem.
These degenerate RINOs want us to think that the students are the problem, not the establishment that fundamentally broke our education system.
This is definitely something I've been thinking about. On one hand a lot of people were tricked into getting outrageous loans for garbage schools (I came close to falling for this as well), not to mention for malicious brainwashing, but on the other hand these people still haven't learned anything and removing all consequences for their bad decisions is going to do the opposite of help.
I think there should be something in between. And I think it should include some mandatory actual education (such as basic critical thinking). Sadly, of course, that's not going to happen for a while.
Yep. There needs to be more outrage from conservatives as to why the hell college costs are so damn high in the first place.
Why doesn't the rest of a 4 year degree cost the same as 2 years of community college?
It should!
How about bailing out businesses during Covid. How is that any different? Millions were handed out illegally, more to big businesses, while small businesses were forced to shut down.
True BUT it's no excuse to enable a bunch of crybabies.
College tuition is just more money laundering circle jerking. We'll create a degree program, even though a degree probably isn't needed for this particular skillset.{like HR} Then the companies require a bachelor's degree before even considering a new hire. Forget experience. A degree is required. Rinse and repeat.
So on the one hand, I do want all of it forgiven because it's bullshit to begin with.
However, how do we reimburse people who already have paid their full ride? Yes, I know, we'll just write them a check... But that's never happening.
So there's no real fair way to do it.
The most obvious solution is to bare knuckle these colleges into submission. If you live in the state of the college you wish to attend, it's free. The taxes paid by the citizens of that state have more than covered it.
You have some valid arguments. As usual, there are no easy answers. Very little in life is black and white, so much gray.
I think part of the college application process should include you making and having a plan for how you're going to pay for it. Things like what kind of job can you get with X degree, what does that job market look like, projections on what it will look like when you enter it. Average salaries for said jobs, and an analysis of cost of living.
Simply going through that exercise would really spell it out for some people on the true worth of worthless degrees.
On the flip side, maybe your parents loaded? Is your education going to be paid for by them? Then by all means go for that liberal arts degree, but do the analysis on what happens afterwards. Are you going to be dependent on them forever?
But maybe even doing this wouldn't work, since there are now high paid positions with titles like Diversity Officer. Entities like BlackRock will definitely skew this type of analysis.
Another idea would be if colleges and universities get funded by getting a percentage of their students future salaries. That would align their motives with creating successful and useful members of society. (I don't know what the numbers would need to look like though, or for how long they would need to get a percentage). But can you imagine if these institutions were motivated by this? You would see useless classes disappear, and maybe even start including classes on career development and salary negotiation etc.. And lobbyists in this sector would start pushing for things like keeping jobs in the US.
LETS NOT FORGET THE EDUCATION THEY OFFER IS SHIT. ITS REALLY JUST INDOCTRINATION. ELITISM AND CRONY CAPITALISM.
Their pocketbook vs yours, mine, our pocket book. It has been this way since the inception of federal income tax and the federal reserve.
Well, Trump cared about our pocketbook. But that is pretty much it.
