Oh. I wouldn't go, but then, it's just me. I found Disney movies bad after Aladdin (long time ago). They tried to do Narnia, and I went to see. It was dumb I was thinking they cannot make anything good any more.
The last good movie I saw with a Disney logo at the front was Never Cry Wolf. 1983 I think. It was not very Disney in its tone, so I don't know how that happened.
That was during the so-called "Dark Years" of Disney, which produced some of the best content. The Black Hole, Tron, Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Black Cauldron, etc. Many people prefer those post-Disney, pre-Eisner years.
I don't go to the movies and haven't been in years because of the Hollywood left and perverts BUT Sound of Freedom opens today at 12 noon at a local theater here in Mobile and I intend to be there to see it. I will only go to see a Mel Gibson movie. See if we can get #Sound of Freedom to go viral on Twit!
Darth Kennedy has no sense of self-awareness. I cannot imagine anyone being excited about seeing this movie. And the line in the trailer equating capitalism with theft. Only clueless NPCs will go see this trainwreck.
It was rumored from the beginning that Kennedy intended for this movie to kill Lucas' other important series, and every one of the rumors were spot on.
You'd think Kennedy has a personal grudge against George or something.
Years ago I was lent the original trilogy which I had not watched since the eighties.
I was appaled by how bad and inept it was. The first one was just okay for boys, the second one was awfully made and also incrfedibly stupid. The last crusade was plenty bad, full of plot holes and idiotic as well as sacrilegeous… but its music was good. Nice orchestral ambiant contemporary textures.
I also had a similar experience with the original Star Wars trilogy… Only « Empire Strike Back » was worth watching IMHO.
You and I have the same experience. I only liked the music on the last Indiana Jones. There were just too many holes in the plot.
Star Wars, I did not go crazy and lined up in front of the cinema. I waited until they were on cable to watch and then, it was like, people lined up for this? Oh dumb.
I owed it to my childhood to see the new Star Wars in theaters (did not do any lining up for it though) because of memories with my father and brother seeing the originals, then the prequels in theaters.
I actually thought The Force Awakens was okay enough, The Last Jedi had a good scene or two, then the last film went so far off the rails it wasn't even able to be watched.
The characters I expected to like the least (like Finn) I ended up liking the most.
I thought Finn was just going to be there to be a woke token black Jedi, but then they decided to give it to the Mary Sue, imply that she was someone special, then suddenly "Palpatine's granddaughter!" and then despite all the bitching about this being the "end of the Skywalker saga", she takes the Skywalker name. Such bullshit.
The worst thing of all? If they had made Finn the Jedi, it would have been better. John Boyega was a huge fan of the franchise, and corrected the cast and staff on many facts and how to do certain things, but they treated him like shit, allowed China to censor him on their marketing, and cut the references from the films (though not in the novels) to his being Force sensitive.
Whole thing was pretty fucked, even without getting into what they did with the original cast. Adam Driver ended up basically carrying the films as hard as he could, which also unfortunately created the Reylos who demanded more romance between characters that were clearly based off of and stand ins for Jacen and Jaina Solo from the expanded universe.
It STILL pisses me off, and it makes no sense that Kennedy is still in her position after destroying the largest franchise in history.
They are destroying themselves right in front of us. It's an amazing time to be alive. Back in 30 years ago, I would never have thought I could see the deep states even if I suspected that. What an exciting time.
The first one hit the nail on the head in terms of cinematic tone. There was nothing like that at that time, a retro adventure with the right amount of special effects, humor, grit, and supernatural elements. Total classic imho.
The statement destroyed Sheldon Cooper, and left me shocked.
Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark - Indiana Jones was completely redundant to the story. Everything that happened in that movie, involving Jones, was pointless, he had zero impact on the overall story. Everything involving the Ark and the Nazi's would have happened if he was, or wasn't involved at all.
The ONLY part of the plot Indy was involved in, was packing the Ark up, so someone else could haul it away where he would never see it again.
On Valliant Renegade's live stream on YouTube last night, Kathleen Kennedy was called 'The Hillary Clinton of Hollywood.' Ouch. Need some ice on that burn and it's not wrong. She's destroyed everything she's touched.
Went to see it and it was boooooring! I don’t think there was a dozen ppl in attendance.

i think the same ...went to see it....like you said BORING...it was not very good
You mean the one starring the one known only as The Perpetually Divided? He, Who Was Divided? The Montage of 4Chan's Greatest Acts of Autism?
Why would you go see a more chain that makes Nazis out to be some sort of super villain instead of the Shepards of the Lord that they were?
What? "Shepards of the Lord that they were"? What is that supposed to mean?

That would be a good one to go see. Yes.
Darth Kennedy has no sense of self-awareness. I cannot imagine anyone being excited about seeing this movie. And the line in the trailer equating capitalism with theft. Only clueless NPCs will go see this trainwreck.
i think they are going to wreck by next year or 2025.
It was rumored from the beginning that Kennedy intended for this movie to kill Lucas' other important series, and every one of the rumors were spot on.

Indiana Jones And The Destruction Of Legacy (expletives!)

Looks completely dumb. Thanks.
I say it was already ruined with Crystal Skull. Star Wars was ruined in '97 when Greedo shot first. After that, it was downhill.
$300m on a film is outrageous. Probably costs them $50m in reality and the rest is laundered...
Crappy movie and the rest laundered for pizza.

True. There were some very memorable scenes in all of them, but any knowledge of real history or archeology made other parts terrible.

It didn't hit me until I watched Big Bang Theory.
The statement destroyed Sheldon Cooper, and left me shocked.

You're welcome.
I thought the 3rd was better than the 1st! It's a movie, so plot holes and other issues are pretty minor, it's the fun in watching it that counts.
On has to wonder whose pocket all of this money is ending up in. It looks less like movie-making and more like money laundering.
it would be a money laundering.
On Valliant Renegade's live stream on YouTube last night, Kathleen Kennedy was called 'The Hillary Clinton of Hollywood.' Ouch. Need some ice on that burn and it's not wrong. She's destroyed everything she's touched.
She is the one who remade Indiana Jones? I never know who does what.
Please do black Tarzan! Please Disney! 🤣
Oh haha.
