Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
My dad's burying his sister today and a high school classmate of mine is burying her husband. He had a stroke on Father's Day. I will blame it on the shot. He didn't look to fit the physical profile or age of a stroke victim otherwise.
I got a dead classmate from esophageal and liver cancer. I really didn't even know him that well, but of course we all keep up on social media. We are in our 60s. He was always such an outdoorsman. But he died in a dirty hospital bed, hooked up to a bunch of machines. And I just wish he would have died on his porch, where he loved it.
That is tragic. :( Man.
Yah. We've had quite a few classmates with the suddenlies. I really didn't know him and they weren't in my close friends group but damn that one got me. Really did.
There is much sadness everywhere from these deadly vaccines...I am sorry for your losses...it is never easy to have to say good-by...even if it is only for a season...
I’m sorry to read this. My neighbor and my brother’s MIL died within two weeks of each other, the last being this past week. Next neighbor down is now dealing with a rash so bad that she had to retire. All vaxxed and boosted. I’m sorry for your loss.
I am sorry to hear this...it is overwhelming...I do believe we have all been affected...God bless you all...
Thank you very much. I'm sorry to hear of the sadness in your life, too.
Thank you!
Sorry about your aunt
Thank you.
