People seem to forget how small the "super duper HD camera" is that they carry around in their pocket. We have VHS camers in our phones. Compared to whatever the opposite of satellite cameras are, that "they" have today. Not to mention concept that they can just access our own cameras.

This is half true. What you are seeing is just the sensor. There is no lense on it. Also, what use would a camera be without light? You need a light source close to the camera to be able to see anything with it. The 200x200 resolution is barely enough to do anything with; it takes big CPUs to register the images, to estimate ego motion and produce 3D models. Not something you can do without a dozen pounds of further equipment.

This all checks out. The camera costs only $53 in moderate quantities. It's intended for disposable endoscopes. 40,000 pixels means an image of 200x200. That is similar to the quality of a VHS tape.
