Ocasio-Cortez's protest of the brand led to a spike in its sales, leading the company to name her "employee of the month."
“When she boycotted us, our sales actually increased 1,000%, so we gave her an honorary — we never were able to hand it to her — she got employee of the month for bringing attention to Goya and our adobo,” Goya Foods' CEO Bob Unanue said.
I had never purchased any Goya products until Bugeye AOC told me not to do so. The shelves at the local Walmart were picked clean daily until they tripled the shelf space for it. Now they are my go-to for those items and the quality is worlds ahead of their competitors.

There were “Limit 2” signs on the shelf when AOC called for a boycott.

I’m telling you the very best hummus is made from Goya garbanzo beans, other beans… average hummus … it’s true.
too bad Goya food is filled with soy, seed oils, and MSG (and other chemicals). it's mostly garbage. (like chick-fil-a).
They sell unprocessed foods as well.
