We are vacationing with family in NW Indiana and enjoying (?) very hot weather at the annual Pierogi Fest...we are Polish, Slovakian and Yugoslavian heritage and I have some English and Irish thrown in...so we are enjoying polka bands and dancing and the traditional Pierogis...my MIL is 93 with her brain totally intact...WOW...
Thanks for remembering me...your prayers, smiles and flowers mean the world...I am still mourning Sandy but have a lot to divert my time and attention... there is no internet here (MIL house) so I am limited to a few hours of wi-fi when the phone actually picks up a signal....God bless you and yours....thank you for your kind thoughts...you are the best...😊...
Yogoslavian heritage? Which part? My father was from the Croatian part of Bosnia.
Yes I remember we shared about this...my father in law's family were Croatian from Yugoslavia...all our grandparents immigrated from Europe in the very early 1900's...the community I grew up in was VERY Polish/Slovak with quite a few Croatians and Serbians...Polish weddings are wonderful...lots of rich heritage here and genuinely hard working, salt of the earth people....☺️...
My dad's family was Polish, so lots of those weddings in my childhood. All I can say is, God bless polkas and stuffed cabbage!
And pierogis...Dzien dobry...
And I am looking forward to your family's story one day soon.
That’d be doxxing myself which I am not ready to at that time, but I appreciate the interest, Fren.
I knew that. I meant after the great revelation(s). I have a feeling there are many frens with fascinating personal stories.
Now you have piqued our interest Mr. PENISSE...haha...I am secretly a princess in real life...NOT...
