Ever see a computer program that was full of "spaghetti code?" Ever try to find and fix a bug in one? Now, multiply that across all of the programs that make up Twitter. I'm guessing that there's a ton of nefarious code hidden in there. I doubt Elon has discovered half of it yet, let alone fixed it. My guess is, you got caught in some of the legacy stuff.
Wow this is a really solid take fren. Honestly never even thought of that. Makes sense though. Just like there is a lot of evil to unpack that also goes with there plans
I saw a lot of this type of thing when I programmed -- and it wasn't being done for nefarious reasons -- it was simply bad programming. People would go to unbelievable lengths to complicate the simplest of tasks. We had a phrase for this: running around the house ten times to get through the front door.
Now imagine what a group of programmers can do if they're trying to complicate some code...
Wow this is very insightful stuff thanks for sharing. I know absolutely zero about coding and programming. This absolutely makes sense though. I like the phrase u gave. Definitely something all coding should be aware of. How long did u program for. Do u still do it or if not why did u stop
I programmed for around 20 years. I called it quits when the company never replaced anyone that left, and just started dumping more work on my desk with no pay increase. It simply wasn't worth the mental stress at this point.
I loved coding. Logic was my thing, my niche. But I began to realize that I was nothing more than a slave to the corporation. It was eat, sleep, drive, work. Nothing to motivate you. The best programmer and the worst programmer got the same raise, no matter whether the company had a good year or a bad year. Promotions were extremely rare. It was soul-crushing. I finally said, "Enough!"
The funny thing was, everyone from the director on down was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that I left. I got called into my boss's office and the directors office wondering why I was leaving. They were that clueless. Naturally, there was no offer to better my situation. Leaving was the best thing I ever did.
Yep part of what has taken so long for some people to get unbanned or unthrottled is that these parameters were hardcoded into their account info rather than just an entry on a database that could be unchecked. Accounts had to be manually fixed.
It's not that easy. Code can branch off in many different directions, depending upon conditions. It can get very complicated, very quickly. Couple that with variable names that have no obvious meaning and it gets even worse.
A = B * C, for a simple example, is not as user friendly as saying Area = Length * Width
There is so much messed up code over the years that Elon and his team are yet to even come across. Also important to remember that the DS had set up secret back doors into the code
No they did not tell me so I'm not pretending. Or lying which is what you inherently implied when you used the word "pretending." All Twitter said was that I violated their rules but they did not give me an example or any proof of how that violation supposedly happened. Then when I sent my rebuttal asking why them to give me the specific reason I was temporarily banned while they reviewed my appeal almost immediately after sending my appeal; I was permanently banned and Twitter never once gave me any information they used to ban me with. So I have no idea why I was banned.
I was suspended from Twitter a few weeks back because I "violated the rules." When I appealed it, telling them I hadn't even been on the site, almost immediately I received their "response " which was the same. Pretty sure it was just an auto response from them. What they suspended me from was commenting but I still could read the comments. No thanks. Deleted the app.
The exact same thing happened to me for saying what a sucky job Biden was doing as president. I was banned for a month. The second ban was weird. It said, "you have free speech but not free reach." What the frack? You can't complain about the Biden crime family no matter how much sauce you bring to the table!

Did u enjoy doing it though. If the pay and work load was balanced?
I can understand why you would quit that's not fair

So if an opportunity ever came about you would wanna get back in that field if the purpose, pay and appreciation was right?

This makes a lot of sense thanks for the response
Elon can rewrite the code, line by line using the old code, find a demon?, delete it. It won’t take forever if he has excellent programmers.

obvious …you went against the accepted narrative…. over the target
They tell you what it was that got you booted. Stop pretending.

Example of free speech but not allowed overreach. Then ask how this can be free speech ? Elon's colors may be showing as his CEO has WEF connections.
Now you know why.
You answered your own question fren.

All Elon did was put lipstick on a pig.
