I would not own a vehicle made after about 10 years ago without swapping it to a standalone ECU.
You could always just snip the antenna wire that goes to that shark fin on the roof.

Ha yea, well, I like to delete the emissions and put louder mufflers on everything too so, until they all rust away I'll stick with my pre-96s. Reupholster the seats and a nice stereo in the dash and I don't even feel like I'm missing out on anything not buying new.
