What does eternal salvation have anything to do with religious freedom. Everyone is free to choose to go straight to hell if that’s their choice. There was only one sacrifice- Jesus the Son of God. Smart people will accept that that sacrifice was sufficient. Their “own merit” will be discarded at the gates and they can go wail and gnash their teeth outside. God doesn’t care about feelings or “religious liberty”. The Bible is clear- God has no regard for man. All glory to the Father.
That is because Jews are hard wired to believe that Jesus is not God and he didn't rise from the dead. In short, they are still waiting for the messiah.
It includes the fact that Jesus is a false prophet. It is all because he proclaimed that he would tear down the temple and rebuild it in three days. He clearly was talking about his own body.
