I've been living in it, thanks. I teach my kids to own up to their behaviour and to never make excuses for themselves. Water's just as drinkable as Coke; I can pick up a 24 of whatever I want on the way home.
It's called integrity, and goes deeper than politics. If a person rants about fossil fuels, but still drives a gas operated car, they lack integrity, if a person protests big pharma, but still takes a Tylenol, it compromises integrity. A person wants to be seen as a person who has integrity, they can practice the simple rule, practice what you preach. It is not that hard, and integrity is an admirable quality in a man, no matter which way he lives. So, you start small, if you say something , mean it, otherwise, keep your mouth closed until you know you can live up to what you believe. In this modern world with so many choices, use discernment before you commit. But alcohol? No one has to drink it. Pharm? The only thing I can have full integrity around that is in my garden, it is 100% organic, but, pharm also created Ivermectin and flea and tick control, and yes, my cats need flea poison sometimes, and yes, I have to take some meds that are created by pharm. I do not have to consume or buy coke, beer, factory farmed meats, or msm "information".
Look, I'm not one to give some sort of sermon, but I'm definitely in agreement.
If you are boycotting something, boycott it. Drink water; you didn't need a coke. If they somehow don't have water then leave or suck it up and get something after.
You aren't standing by your convictions, or your convictions aren't very strong, if you're willing to back out on them when it's inconvenient.
Being smart and strategic is sticking to your convictions, even when it's inconvenient. Your first statement in this post has zero relevance, because the primary criticism levied at you is that you'll drink coke if they don't have something else you want, even though you're boycotting them.
It doesn't matter if it's pointless to boycott a product you don't use; you clearly use coke when you want to, so you're not actually boycotting them.
Stick to your convictions...unlike the left.
Also, criticizing people for not sticking to their convictions has an important role in the culture war we are faced with. We don't need lip service, we need people who stick to what they say they're going to do.
Exactly how big of an ally is Kid Rock? Puts out a song "We The People" and hits our beliefs. Then goes against the boycott that he shot up a ton of Bud Light?
So you're not boycotting Coke. It's like telling Jesus, "yeah but I only sinned when I had to!"
Welcome to the real world.

Good for you, I can't even remember the details of why I am boycotting them. I will go back to drinking coke.
Do you want kid rock to do the same?
The same reason you're not ever giving the salvation army another fucking dime ever again.... because they basically said, fuck whitey.
Look, I'm not one to give some sort of sermon, but I'm definitely in agreement.

I'm boycotting bud light and I haven't drank a beer in 30 years...... kind of pointless.
If people here boycotted kid rock it would be equally as pointless. All it could do is piss him off and we lose a huge allie in the fight.
I'm here to win, not to stand on moral superiority.
We need to be smart and strategic in what we do, and not just emotional, like the left.
I will go back to drinking coke as, I couldn't even remember why I was boycotting them.

Fair weather conservatives are retarded. Period.
