This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
The Donald Trump mugshot that everyone is flooding the Internet with seems to me to be a fake for the following reasons:
I know the photo was posted on X and TruthSocial, but let me express my skepticism here.
Bottom-line: that’s an iconic picture.

That was my first thought, too. I doubt that it's the actual mugshot; I think it was one they prepared earlier. I note that the T-shirts are already being advertised.

8kun, which incidentally is down right now, showed the original photo with background cropped out.
Google image search shows this and several other links with the supposed mugshot photo - but it doesn't appear to be exactly the same, but very similar. Mugshot photo looks whitewashed:

The internet is being flooded with all kinds of fake mugshots.
I don't know if the one Trump tweeted today - the iconic image - is the official mugshot, but so far I have not seen another picture coming from any official source.
I think this is yet another troll in this game. You make them think they will get a humiliating mugshot. Force them to share the iconic picture. Turning your enemy's attacks against them. Always.
