So, I spent last night almost 2 hours on a teleconference with one of the world's most based and honest insurance brokers.
Basically, how it works is your premiums are either being subsidized or paying for others depending on your age and income.
For example a 29 year old single man at 28k per year income will pay $68 bucks a month for a mid to high level health plan if they shop around. But the same individual making 100k per year will pay closer to $250 per month. Same risk but differing premiums based on income.
The Gov got in-between private health insurance companies and consumers and created a hidden tax, where those who make more money pay higher premiums than those that make less and the higher premiums are redistributed to pay off the coverage of the "underprivileged".
This is straight up Socialism as defined by any text book of worth and "We the people", the free and the proud, shrug it all off and go on about our day instead of lighting torches and grabbing pitch forks.
Clown world!
No no, not redistribution of wealth. Redistribution of wealth means you and I will benefit from lower premiums and better services.
Concentration of wealth for insurance companies and pharmaceuticals.
So, the amount of theft is distributed according to your means.
I would think Obama would be the big guy who gets a 10% cut while the 90% go to the pharmaceuticals and insurance who screwed us over.
Hillary Clinton on Clintoncare:
We're going to take things away from you for the common good.
I’m apparently late to the gate, too. This sucks in particular when you work for a smaller business with less leverage and fewer plan options.
Crazy to realize this when you consider what the average patient experience is today. What a scam!
You certainly are late
It's a tax on working people to pay deadbeats and circle jerk that money back into the elites hands
Money laundering.
If it was only about redistribution (actually stealing) wealth, it wouldn't have been so bad.
How about the fact you pay more and more for less and less? My family of 4 is paying 800/ month between co pays on meds, premiums, Dr. co-pays, and a special charge because I am on my wife's insurance instead of covering my family again. It is a huge money grab.
In 2007, after quitting my job in 2005, I tried Humana as a alternative to COBRA who in 2 years time raised the premium 25%, I signed up for VA health care plus Part A Medicare; every year I have gotten a form that says I comply with Obamacare. I have not been soaked for my no cost to me health care. I am very grateful for the VA care since being a part of the Agent Orange Registry in 2019.
Oh, wow, my status got a down vote-sumbuddy didn't see the key idea here- I was NOT concerned by O-care one bit, and found what I EARNED by military service filled my needs completely... downvote??? MEH!!
ur late.
