That's the story I just got from two people, real time. Be happy to get some insight on this. And I'm not asking for you to research or donate, that's a personal thing.
What do you know about GoodWill ? I heard the company was sold under duress by the family to 'investors'.
Check Goodwills tax statements-the stores across the country pay subscriptions to the main office (I believe in Indiana) there are many grants and large donations in addition to ALL the user donations to each and every store where they are sent to a central processing branch for redistribution to each and every store. The truly prime stuff goes to serious auctions, the web site handles the more common donated items and the prices in the stores are higher than even 5 years ago. I have been monitoring the website since 2003 and they make maybe 95% profit on the donated items. This reflected in their tax disclosures. The upper management is highly paid and fiat people seem to love the fiat dollar too much.
There are complaints as to how employees are treated/paid, but it is pretty typical for a business that relys on the kindness of generous citizens.. /s
Source? I went to your title link, looked at Home, Recent, Documents, Resources and Videos and found nothing on Goodwill. Did I overlook it somehow? If so, can you be more specific as to where on that site it is or provide another source?
The source is a person that I know locally that spoke to Mr. Goodwill on the phone. They have arranged a go fund me to pay his boarding at a local motel. The state of Wisconsin Judiciary is creating by their omission and others falsification of Mr. Goodwill's public assistance documents to cause him harm.
I couldn't find it (his story) either after looking, it may be in the interviews that Mr. Goodwill did.
I was told he was beaten in prison and his back was broken. He is in a wheelchair now. But that being said, this is why I am asking for help to research this. I am into this for about $150 in cash and don't really care about that, but we, here do have the ability to find out things.
This is not easy to find the story, I will ask again for links that explain what is going on again.
I think I'm a little confused here. According to your post title I thought when you stated Goodwill that you were referring to the Goodwill charity (where you donate goods which they sell in their shops, provide job opportunities and training for people in need of work, etc). Are you referring to an individual who happens to have the last name of Goodwill and how is this tied into Blackrock, etc?
this is a link about the person, whose name is Goodwill, whose family started the goodwill charity organization. that organization was taken over by a corporation.
Thanks. I had just finished reading your new post on the topic. This is not the Goodwill Industries that, it appears, most of the commenters in this post (including myself) had assumed it was, an organization started in 1902 by Reverend Edgar Helms, but a completely different charity headed by a person who happens to have the last name Goodwill. In any case, anon, I'll take a look at all the information you've provided. Being an advocate for someone who is truly suffering from injustice is always a noble goal (unlike shysters who feign need and injustice in order to bilk people out of money). That said, there was a Mr Goodwill in your title link, just not the Goodwill Industries I'd thought you were referring to. Thank you for the clarification. God bless.
This was the point that I was trying to make. I was told by these fundraisers in person that Jason Goodwill was from the family that started Goodwill which to me meant Goodwill Industries.
Looking from a search I see all the usual suspects, wikipedia, etc...
Now I will go back to that person and ask them to re-state and substantiate their claim that this was the person from the family that started Goodwill industries.
Further, they need to provide me with links that substantiate this claim.
If Elon Musk can demand that the history of corporations be re-written, how could a company history of Goodwill be any different ?
I spoke to Jason Goodwill on the phone tonight. My friend called him. He can be reached through the information on the gofund me .
His family came from Greece and migrated to Germany, they came to the United States in the 1900s. Their Greek family name was translated to Goodwill. At that time they had been running a soup kitchen in countries where they lived where people paid for their meals by putting what they could spare into a box where people could not see what they gave. Donations were made to the organization in many forms.
Goodwill operated non-profit until the family split on a disagreement that Goodwill should be for profit. Unfortunately, the non-profit part of the family went bankrupt and the profit part survived. You can read wikipedia and infer what they say as truth, but this is directly from the person who is a descendant of that family. Jason downplayed the Goodwill corporation and name but highlighted the fact that he uncovered wrongdoing in the legal system in Michigan in his inheritance.
Jason said in this phone conversation to me that he was defrauded of his inheritance of a property and was incarcerated in order that he die in prison. My friends tell me that this is so his heir could inherit the property.
My friends at the meeting tonight told me that a woman worked in the government to keep him in prison to keep his inheritance out of reach.
The many links in my post are to the legal misdoings that Jason has had to undergo. Basically he was sent out of the prison because the prison malnourished him and he was beaten and put in a wheelchair in prison and they thought him dying there would be bad publicity.
Jason Goodwill is in house arrest at a hotel in Michigan but not able to legally leave to the state where his property is. We have been paying for his weekly rent. Unfortunately, The woman that sought to ruin him also entered his house on his property and opened all the windows and damaged his home to the point where it must be demolished and he has to acquire a trailer to live on his property.
I think he's legit, but people can actually talk to him if they want to. I gave what I can, but, I am in no position to through caution to the wind as far as giving charities and am not going to go to Goodwill anytime soon.
So I work for a regional cancer center, big clinic, and the Relay for Life by American Cancer Society use to be wildly popular around our town. I was SHOKED to find out essentially NONE of the money helps our cancer patients. When I questioned it, I was told a huge part of the income goes to research, so in other words, big pharma. Sickening.
Did not know about Blackrock and child trafficking. Ty. When I was there a while back, they asked if I wanted to round up on my purchase. It was to a LGBT organization. Can't remember specifics. Now I just say "no".
Yep - we only donate to our local food bank and local charities like schools which have thrift stores distributing to those in need or selling items very cheaply- like school uniforms for $10. The only large charity we used to donate to was St. Jude's but they went woke during the plandemic so nope. The woman in charge of their donations dept. wanted to know why so I told her.
Also, IIRC, there was an expose on Goodwill. There has been beaucoup corruption with managers keeping money and others taking merchandise to sell for money they keep.
yea, money laundering,
thanks for you service, whistleblowers, but its easier to say Patriots.
Stripped my link when I posted this so here is the Complete Link

There are plenty of LOCAL rescue missions for homeless and shelters that are legitimate and NEED donations.
Good Will is not a charity, its a for profit company.
Came here to say this. But then again, they all are.

They use a federal loophole to pay disabled people LESS than minimum wage.
Their execs take lavish retreats and seminars at luxury tropical places on the company dime while pulling 6 figure paychecks.
Want a good charity to donate to? TeenChallange.org is fantastic. Also local churches that run donation centers.

Goodwill has been long exposed as a money laundering racket. They pay their "employees" pennies, and the CEO makes millions per year.
