In many public high schools, teen girls hit on adult teachers they want something from. I can remember when I was a young teacher in the 80s, the turn down rate was 100%. During the Clinton years, some men started to give in, especially after the Monica story broke. As I neared retirement in the late teens, there were way too many low lifes in public education who had affairs with their teen students and got away with it, because the administration did nothing about it. There were only a few of us left, either over 50, Christian, or both who would turn down every offer. If statutory rape laws were seriously enforced today in the urban school systems, the districts would have few teachers.
