The moment I saw that I immediately went back and checked all previous inaugurations, and departures. NO departures had that salute, and EVERY incoming POTUS did. That was no mistake.
I like your excitement and optimism, and I'm not saying it isn't warranted.
I do want to point out to you though - when he left DC he left well before noon. He was still president. In fact he arrived in FL before noon as well. People either don't realize this or have forgotten.
That is also why he left with the football and the media freaked out - and why no other departures had that salute. I don't know if any other Presidents left early - I believe most of them attended the incoming inauguration. President Trump did not. He left DC with a callsign of AF1 - not SAM1.
NONE of what I just said means he is not still POTUS. It is just facts that people seem to forget and they should not.
I'm not arguing that point at all. Re-read my last line of my comment. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong about Trump still being President or Biden is or is not President.
My only beef is that people think something funny was going on when Trump left DC because he got Presidential honors. Of course he did - he was still the current President until noon. That also did not change just because Biden was sworn in early either. Trump by law was President until noon on Inauguration Day. After noon - well we are all hoping or speculating but we really don't have 100% firm evidence. For what it's worth, I'm on the side of Trump being CiC by virtue of CoG.
As to what Biden's gun salute means? I think it means this movie is longer than "Dances With Wolves", but my legs are too numb to get up so I'll just keep watching the plot twists until the end.
Among countless other clues since, yes that's a great one too.
However, only a certain demographic would know that particular clues relevance; i.e. learned frogs and astute military peeps. Others wouldn't know.

Couple it with the fact that Biden's 21 gun salute was that of a funeral, or foreign dignitary and what does it mean?
