Damn racist rain.
You know, God made a promise to never flood the world again and offered the rainbow as a symbol of his promise.
When people decided to take his symbol and use it as a cudgel to get their way with LGBTQ+71, maybe he was like, "Fine, flooding it is!"

Albeit, this most likely is not Manhatten, but that part of NYC had some very bad sewage systems. I remember walking down the street in Manhatten and I always got a whiff of some pungent-ass foul smelling sewage. I always described NYC as a city teetering between a 1st world and 3rd world city. Then there's Cleveland known for the Cuyahoga River catching on fire.....That was the event that created the EPA. My old military buddy, who lived by Cleveland use to tell me stories about it. He called Cleveland, "The Mistake on the Lake". Hilarious.
I think the major flooding was in Brooklyn.
Been there too. I like it, but sewers were stinky too.
This is Brooklyn. Up to 8 inches of rain fell.in parts of NYC today.
This area is is downhill on 3 directions from the surrounding area.

It is interesting, isn't it? Unusual floods have been working their way round the world for some time now. I am sure they will all be blamed on Climate Change.
It will be interesting to see where the cloud seeding team moves to next.
Someone's out on Lewis Carroll St making some blurry "enhanced" flooding footage. The one with the whirlpool flushing down the rabbit hole was funnier.
What happens to the rats? Do they escape into homes and businesses?
