The pleasure is all mine when I hear back from people like you that have "discovered" the KJV difference - it is the only Bible that has not been perverted by the new age translators. Most people think it's much to do about nothing (a bible is a bible). But when they see the facts about what has been deleted in the name of "readability", most reasonable Christians are shocked at the evilness of it all.
It gets easier as you go along (as you are discovering). Ask the Lord for His help in reading and understanding - He is only too willing to help you. Pretty soon you'll be able to take the training wheels off (LOL). You have made a very wise decision, you have stuck to it and I know that the Lord will bless you for it. It was very hard to read at first. I would have to look words up and write their meaning down to refer to as I read.
The first week when I was confused I would bring up the NIV version when I couldn't comprehend the passage
After the first week I only relied on the dictionary and each day became easier to understand.
