See my comment above your here. Have you ever see that article (I also read the links within this article). This is something I want to learn more about, and I think it's important to know.
I grew up in a Christian home, went to church as a kid and adult. My heart is still in the church, although since I move down away from small town I grew up in, I don't go as much as I should. I am a man redeemed by the blood of Christ.
But most of my life I have heard that line that says something like, God takes care of those who support Israel. I have since learned that this statement is not biblical, and have come to believe it to be propaganda probably created by some moneychanging Zionist. Probably this person is related, or works for the same faction that traveled the country selling preachers on the idea any church that is 75% full will not grow, so they all built bigger churches that take up most of the collection to pay for.
This is the verse people are talking about when they say that God blesses those who bless Israel.
It’s a biblical notion, but one that many take too far. I highly doubt that God meant “send billions of dollars to Israel’s government and look the other way when they attack US ships”.
I'd like to suggest that you consider this perspective:
Israel - the direct descendants of Jacob - failed in their purpose, the very reason God chosen and established Israel: to receive and believe in the Messiah, God's son.
So the position of Israel was taken from them, and given to the followers who DID accept and unite with Jesus, the Messiah. This is Christians. Christians are the second Israel. Their mission is to restore the failure of the first Israel. How? by believing in and receiving and uniting with the Messiah when he returns.
When we can fulfill the mission that the first Israelites failed in (as a people), we open the way for them to be restored, by doing what they themselves could not.
Jesus (Luke 18:8)
"Will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He continue to defer their help? I tell you, He will promptly carry out justice on their behalf. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”
Here Jesus himself is positing the question, when he returns, will he find faith on Earth? That's a pretty big if. Every believer believes he will recognize and receive Christ when he returns, but also, the Israelites firmly believed they would recognize and believe in the Messiah when he came. If he comes like in a thief in the night, and comes with a new name that only he himself knows, what might happen. Every eye will see him. But yes, also, ALL the Israelites saw Jesus. The problem was, they did not recognize him because their view of the Messiah was not God's view of the Messiah.
We have been deceived, and you are correct. Isreal in the Bible is not a state! That place over in the Middle East was founded in 1948. A mere 75 years ago. It was not Israel prior to 1948.
Israel is the Israelites. The 12 tribes of Jacob. They still exist today, although most people don’t know which tribe they have descended from.
Let me give you some verses: Matthew 10:6 and Matthew 15:24 God came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel...we are indeed lost today. The House of Israel is the 12 tribes....they are CHRISTIANS scattered. It is not that place over by Egypt. It’s not a place at all! It’s people that call themselves Christians. Remember religion is man made. 33,000 denominations that can’t agree on much. Your heart shouldn’t be in the church, as that is man made. Your heart is in Christ. He is in you. Pray and let him know you. He wants to hear from you daily. And boy do we have a lot to pray about right now!
My heart in in Christ, but more importantly my faith rest in Jesus. When I said my heart is in the church I was not saying my faith is in the church. I was merely saying that I still have an affinity for the corporate worship environment that brought so much joy in my past, and good memories of my family.
I returned from church one Sunday feeling very unworthy and fun-fulfilled, very much under attack by Satan. I sat down and wrote this:
My savior is with me thou I struggle
In my heart with him I abide
Though in sin I've toiled through my trouble
He never has left from my side
And I know before my final hour
That within him secure I will be
That my faith like a blossoming flower
Will bloom forth for my God to see.
Yet in this life filled with much bleakness
I pray to my God above
Lord judge me not for my weakness
But Father for only my love
For on that day when you open the book
Despite all of the errors I've made
I know on one of the pages you'll look
To see I was worthy of the price that you paid.
What a beautiful piece! Love it! Your words sum it up perfectly. Ahhh...I get what you are saying now about the church! I can very much relate! HE hears us. We are all struggling. Once awake we can’t go back.
