There's an army national guard helicopter unit based south of I-10 near Hwy 6, just a bit south of the dam near George Bush park. There has been more activity than usual including heavy lifters but I have no idea what they're up to. They're usually headed west. I did hear what I thought was a fast mover yesterday in the evening, but I just shrugged it off.
There has been a shit ton of development in my area. I figure this has more to do with expanding Xfinity coverage than anything. I’m in the northwest quadrant of the Katy area. North of I-10 and west of the Grand Parkway.
Gotcha. We really are neighbors ;)
We had some issues due to fast growth recently as well. Schools are popping up all over the place. I've been here since 75 and this town is almost unrecognizable now. Back then, this time of year, we would start getting so many geese that the fields would look like dirty snow where your house is now. Literally thousands of them. These days it's rare to see any at all. It's still a great place to live though.

I lost Xfinity about 10 minutes ago. I’m using Verizon via cell phone to evaluate the situation. May be nothing.
Edit: Xfinity confirms there is an outage. Still, may be nothing. I’m in Katy, TX.
I'm in Katy too and I use Xfinity. Must be just your neighborhood. There's no military squawking in the skies at the moment fren.
