They get a quarter teaspoon each. They are both females around 8-9 lbs. I read that large cats, 13lbs or more, can get a full teaspoon. You just want to make sure it is mixed good with their food as the dust can cause lung issues if they breathe it in.
I never researched if humans can consume it. It does say 'food grade' on the bag.

Yes, humans can (and should) consume food grade DE.
It is also an absolute winner at killing insects. The crystals get between their moving parts’ armor and rip the insects apart. Ants, roaches, etc.

Thanks, I'll give this a try. Dealing with a flea problem right now. How does that work, btw? Do you rub it into their fur or something?
You can douse them in it and sprinkle it on the bedding and carpet.
I put a 1/4th teaspoon in my water bottle from time to time to drink through out the day.
