Why did she plead guilty, unless she knew her claims were bogus from the start? Was she simply caught up in the moment (making her a gullible fool), or did she actually believe in her Kraken Cases?

She had dozens of Felony charges against her and took the plea deal for 6 misdemeanor charges. She probably didn’t think she could get a fair trial so it was the smart take. We’ll see what happens.
They didn't give her a choice. I think they got her on unconstitutional laws, which is the new world order.
As far as I know, Powell pleaded guilty to conspiring to get some forensics experts in to exanine the voting machines used in Coffee County, Georgia. Those experts did access the machines but without the proper permissions.
That was only an issue because the powers that be did not want those machines examined. Who knew?
The fact that the entire MSM has reported that by conflating the RICO charges with the guilty plea is to be expected.
This is how it works: You park in a restricted area and I charge you with that and of murdering someone. You plead guilty to the parking charge and I withdraw the murder charge. You now owe me. The MSM report this as: You were charged with murder and pleaded guilty today etc. It is all true but you did not plead guilty to the murder charge. They "forgot" to mention that. It is called lying by omission.
A technicality. The DS has passed laws to cover their crimes and make everyone else criminals. If you fart, that's a crime against climate change or something, if you don't fart, that's also a crime for not maintaining your health or whatever.
Only a billionaire, e.g. Trump could stand up to threats of ruin from Deep State. I don't fault her. Look at the J6 prisoners. Would anyone want to languish in a filthy prison for years?
Languish with no trial. If DC isn't a part of the United States but a separate entity unto it's self, does constitutional law have no bearing on what happens in DC and its prisons?
Quit reading headlines and go look at what she pled guilty to, what was dropped, and whether or not she kept the information she gathered from said case.

Sometimes one has to play the hand they are dealt. At the end, it probably came down to resources (or lack thereof.) At any rate, IMO, the real story is that they dealt the case down to this level. Tells me the Fanny got carried away heaping on the charges. Be interesting to see if this pattern continues with others involved in the case. Rump Girl may be realizing that her mouth wrote checks her ass couldn't cash.

She definitely wouldn’t get a fair trial. She’ll testify. We’ll see what she says in court…if the media reports it truthfully or at all. That will tell us which way she went.

She was facing jail and financial ruin. Instead of standing up for what was right, she gave up to save herself. We are literally living in the time of Revelation. We are all being tested. The wheat is getting separated from the chaff. She sold her soul when she took this deal.
I here ya bro ,but it aint that simple,dont matter who you are in our justice system,had a lawyer tell me one time ,'YOU DONT KNOW WHO YOUR DEALING WITH" ,so she did what she had to do ,cant judge until your sittin where she was,she didnt take a Fulford plea because she plead guilty but her choice was literally go to trial be found guilty go to prison for who knows how many years ,or do what she did with no chance of jail belittled by the state is what they really wanted and live to fight another day.
I am not judging anybody. I am just pointing out what she is doing. I pity her.
Do what is right and have faith. Anything short of that is a mistake. People who give up and have no faith will always find a way to justify their choices. We learn from our mistakes. She is about to learn a very valuable lesson.
Let's see what Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman will do once Sydney's & Chesebro's evidence is presented in their separate trials. Plea deal or plead not guilty?

I caught some of the hearing & she is to hand over all her documentation (discovery/evidence). That may become a bomb shell to the prosecution and their case may implode! If she is to testify against Trump and she's handed over her evidence/discovery, perhaps there is ample proof of election fraud/steal/cheating from numerous sources (military surveillance, Space Force intel, witness affidavits, foreign countries involved, etc). Which would actually exonerate herself, Trump (& others charged). The prosecution CAN NOT withhold that evidence from trial!
Perhaps this was the strategy all along?
