I see the airport and nearby communities are getting clobbered right now. Looks like a direct hit. That wind angle is so bad. These are the storms that affect you for decades.
Yea, Cat 5 wind speed measured at what altitude? These weather people don't tell you that when they report max sustained winds that is not ground level but somewhere around 3,000 feet.
Not even close… Not even a Category 1. Time lapse has it fizzling out by noon tomorrow as it reaches land just NW of Acapulco.
Happy to pray for the health and safety of the Acapulco-Mexican folks (and any others), but they’re not facing a monster storm.
Edit: This is such a huge disparity of “data” between Ventusky and AccuWeather that it will be interesting to see what actually occurs. Category 5 versus a windy rainstorm.
Did fake news media just make up a monster hurricane?
So interesting… Wednesday late morning now (east coast USA) and a search on Acapulco’s weather on non-MSM sites shows virtually no hurricane activity other than a rainy day and mention of “Hurricane conditions” with tropical storm data instead. I checked both “weather underground” and the following site and it seems pretty calm there. I checked the historic weather for the past 24 hours and wind speeds are 1 and 2mph while MSM claims they were getting creamed by 165mph winds.
Maybe this site and weather underground and Ventusky and windy are all “made up” or maybe MSM just created a category five hurricane out of thin air. Who knows anymore?
And I suppose news of a monster hurricane would detract from news of the violent cartel massacre in the same state (Guerrero) not far from Acapulco where several police were killed.
So there will be a short pause in illegal border crossings in two weeks or so? Great news.
Anyone in Acapulco, Mexico isn't about to cross the U.S. border. If that was their intent, they wouldn't be in that area of Mexico.
Yeah - a lot of them are actually Americans that took a cruise to there.

This is at 750 meters
This is ground level. Not even hurricane strength with max of around 48 mph.
