Each box is an individual post (duh). The links with the numbers inside of each post at the top are links to the responses to that post. You can preview each response by hovering your mouse over the link. If you want to see the response and the replies to it, just click the link. (I prefer to right click and open the link in a new tab to help me keep my place in the original.) The numeric link immediately above the response tells you which post it is in response to and functions exactly like the other links.
8chan/8kun has a selection box at the top to view these in "Tree" view where each response is listed directly below the post. Unfortunately, this site doesn't have that feature.
