Our God-given rights and freedoms will be trampled and the anti-christ will appear on the scene and tell us that he alone can save us but we must take his mark (on our right hand or forehead) to buy and sell in the economy.
Buckle up - it's going to get turbulent. If you haven't already accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it would be a good time to do so. IMHO, there is not much time left. We are watching the prophecies of the Bible unfold before our eyes. Do not get caught up in all this drama and put off the most important decision of your life - accept Jesus today and be assured of an eternal home in the Kingdom of God. God bless.
I had breakfast at a local restaurant here in NC, and the total was the same as it was over a year ago. They last raised their prices in August 2022. They have plenty of customers every day. I eat there often enough that I don't even have to order. I just walk in, find a table, and sit down. Sweet tea shows up almost instantly, and just few minutes later, my plate of breakfast shows up.
So far, local restaurants in my town are doing well, and more are opening.
I haven’t forgotten, nor will I ever, how my local independent treated me after the lockdown. They went woke, denied me access ‘cause no jab, and tried to ridicule me for it.
Others have said FY because of this, too. The local’s clientele is now those that look for “the latest thing”. They lost their stalwarts. Too bad for them. They shouldn’t have tried to lynch me and others like me for saying No.
Only one restaurant said I couldn't come in without a mask. They gave the excuse that the owner was in bad health, but I know for a fact the owner stayed back in the kitchen all the time and was never out in the dining room. So I told them no thanks, never went back, and they closed up forever soon after.
At a local fast food place, a guy stopped me from coming in the door, saying "Don't even think of coming in here without a mask." I told him I was exempt, but he didn't care. I've never set foot in that place again and never will.
I’ll never forget. I’ll take my hard-earned cash elsewhere. Besides, I’ve cut out seed oils, anyway, so I cannot eat out anymore. I’ve gone from a good cook to a great one, of good, healthy (as much as I can not being able to ranch my own cattle, etc) non-GMO food. This food is well worth the non-existent “sacrifice” of not eating at a place not worth it, anyway.
Do you cook, now, or have you found somewhere that suits you better?
I go to a local restaurant. I like breakfast there. I go often enough that the waitresses know what I want. I can just walk in and sit down, and I get breakfast pretty fast. There are a couple of locally owned pizza places, a locally owned Firehouse Subs I visit perhaps once a month, and a locally owned DQ that has a good cheeseburger, and hotdogs my wife likes. There is a local baker that we get muffins from, and she bakes the best cinnamon rolls.
I try to eat only at locally owned places. And I try to tip well to help them out.
We are trying to cook at home for more meals. The last thing we cooked was a big pot of chicken and rice soup. That will last us 3 or 4 days. It has nothing but chicken thighs and rice. I add a tiny bit of salt sometimes at the table. So it's a very pure food, way away from processed food.
My regular breakfast place is packed with waitresses and hostesses. I know most of their names, and they know mine and what I always order. I just walk in, sit down, and things arrive at my table. They make it too easy for me to eat there.
I don't know about your state, but the federal minimum wage is less than half that, and waitresses get even less. They have to make up the difference in tips. The restaurant I ate breakfast at this morning hasn't increased prices in over a year. I do tip the waitresses extra to help them out.
Deep state solution:

Gotta be that climate change.

Or it could be that the minimum wage is $16,55 an hour and most restaurants cannot pay that without increasing the amount for food,
