If you want to make it tougher only use TOR with VPN to search internet. But they will get you if they want to, and nothing you can do about it.
Some have even argued that using TOR with a VPN was like painting a target on you back, and actually encouraged the Intel agencies to have a look at you.
Most VPNs log your IP addresses and activity anyway… it’s a never ending debate on which ones do & don’t. ProtonMail and ProtonVPN, were supposed to be mega-ultra secure and look what happened to both. Everyone’s trying to dodge the way the Internet evolved and works with NAT.. there is always a way to track your ingress and egress IP address if someone is motivated enough.
All of these of course are electronic devices. Recognizing anything SMART is a spy device is important. All VPNs are a basic line of defense against the public's prying eyes, but the government has the back doors on them for sure. The same is true for MS Windows OS. A better Os is Linux...
The bottom line, if you want to have privacy don't use digital devices. Having smart phones on and texting when friends and company are there is down-right rude and only fosters anti-social behavior. Just go to a restaurant and see people sitting at a table in their cell madness or kids waiting for the bus.... It's sad..... No wonder some 32 State AGs are suing Meta.
The best privacy is eliminating as much, if not all, digital devices.... Maybe practicing survival skills 'butt-ass' naked might not be a bad idea. Just make sure you warn your neighbors first. And if the police come, at least it isn't for the pedo-porn they downloaded on your computer hard drive. Do ya' see my point?
You think VPNs work? They work against a scammer… but not against the intelligence agencies running the software companies that sell you the VPN.

Exactly
Don’t need one. Don’t respond to emails you are not expecting, or know nothing from the sender.
Don’t visit sites you have no businesses visiting
Government will always know where you are at all times… remember how McCain was found hanging out with ISIS?
Even if you don’t have or use a smart device. Others do, and there is software that recognizes face and voice… nothing is private.

5 easy ways to write a listicle…
Quite right...... is "listicle" another way of saying making a list?
Creating a listicle is a list of ‘something’ to bait someone in to clicking. ie:8 ways to save money buying a car.
"Get a VPN" - this makes it hard for your ISP to track you, but instead allows the VPN company to track you completely.
I approve, but tor helps too
install grapheneOS for android. Ironically on pixel phones because they have the most secure hardware, to degoogle it.
