i watched a video of a young woman saying to to street preacher that IF he could show her proof that Jesus is real then she would be a Christian right then and there. he asked her if she has to have proof for everything in her life before she decides to do anything and she said YES.
so he says to her, when your dr hands you a prescription to get filled, do you take your science test kit with you and test that medicine before taking it for proof of what it is before taking the meds? she shut her pie hole.
The historical evidence for the Resurrection is much stronger than those uneducated on the subject may realize.
For anyone willing to engage with the facts, I recommend the minimal facts approach, which sticks only to facts that are multiply-attested and accepted as true by even the most skeptical scholars.
A better question would’ve been if she even reads the reports on the trials and experiments that other people have done on the medication. Most consumers just look at the pharmaceutical corporate propaganda brochures but not the actual testing reports, so the street preacher would’ve probably still received the answer of “no” that he wanted from the woman, but he wouldn’t have used the fallacy that proof has to be first hand and can’t be second or third hand. It’s ok to use other people’s proofs as long as you take the time to comprehend and verify them. Mathematicians do it all the time.
From the “left can’t meme” files is the meme of pro-vaxx research being done in a lab by white coats while anti-vaxx research is done on a phone by a mom on the toilet. The meme rings false because most pro-vaxxers, as in people who took the vaxx themselves or who had their kids take it, did not do any lab work to make their decision, and the anti-vaxx mom on the toilet could’ve been using her phone to access reports of lab work that showed the vaxx was unsafe, ineffective, and not worth the risks.
i believe the point the preacher was trying to make, is that she is a liar, that she does NOT search the truth or proof before believing in everything, even taking an aspirin or an antibiotic. that's why he asked her if she tests all meds before she takes them or just accepts the pharmacist at his word.
Seeking "Proof" is evidence they are not seeking Truth.
Truthseekers look for evidence then make a judgement call about the relative merits of that evidence in contrast with other information that they possess.
It is this process which turns EVIDENCE into PROOF.
Therefore asking for PROOF bypasses their own processing of the evidence.
This applies to the Resurrection of Jesus and a few other things as well:

Amen… And much like the Habbenings this post refers to, there is plenty of evidential proof that Christ is who he said he was…

There are many ways to say this. Do some googling of what I provide and you can see for yourself.
I usually say it this way.
"Diversity is our Strength" fits right in there.
"It's easier to believe a lie than it is to believe that you were lied to..." Twain(?)
