Sugar is sucrose, which is two glucose molecules stuck together.

No, sucrose is 1 glucose molecule combined with 1 fructose molecule.

Good luck banning all glucose from your body...

The idea of "banning" glucose is irrelevant. Sure, you body can produce glucose AS NEEDED, but will not do so if not needed.

Banning yourself from eating food that turns into sugar (all carbs) will keep you from getting that exogenous sugar, which is what causes most health issues.
