To be fair, strength has nothing to do with pool. I agree the whole trans athlete thing is ridiculous and men are generally taller, faster and stronger then women, that’s just how humans are. I’ve been playing pool 40 years and I’m not bad. My daughter has been playing pool since she was 2 and she’s 14 now and can beat me about half the time while talking and not paying attention to the game at all. She’s gifted. She can also shoot an arrow through an inch wide stick at 5m reliably. Some talents are not aided by gender.
I used to think pool should be like chess, genderless. (The reason there's men's and women's chess has nothing to do with biology; it's just that males so vastly outnumber females who play the game, no woman would be likely to ever win any tournament not restricted to other women only. The best female player isn't as good as the 10th best—or maybe the 100th best—male player.)
But then I gave it more thought regarding billiards, which has a similar dynamic as chess as far as relative participation by men and women; plus men are generally bigger, stronger, can break harder, and can reach more long shots without having to use the bridge.
I'm 5 tall female play pool against men and win all the time. I've never used a bridge in my life. And none of the men can shoot from behind their back as accurately as I can. Bigger isnt better modt times more is just that,...more.
So you condone men in dresses competing in competitions created for women only? Just clarifying.
