I listened to a podcast about Nutty Putty Cave today and how dangerous its passageways were to spelunkers before it was sealed off. We should send these people in there, head first with no light or rope.
It was awesome climbing in that cave in my youth.
People died in there because they would try to go into passages too narrow for their bodies. A couple of easily accessible birth canal type passages in there.
If you were smart, or even used common sense, there was never any real danger.
I had two buddies that were like wires & could fit in some places most grown men (fit & strong) could never go in there which was harder for them (think the size of a healthy 12-14 year old kid in the late teens as far as weight gain goes). The problem were guys with larger shoulders & chests thinking they could fit in those spaces too.
AFAIK they were sealed up with concreted unfortunately. I had hoped to take my kids, though if you were north of 200lbs @ 5'9" you weren't likely to get more than a a hundred feet in.
The only birth canal I am interested in spelunking is my wife's.

There's a joke reply to that statement that one could say you've walked right into, but because I'm respectful, I'll refrain kek
Does it have to do with car keys ?
That is cool you got to experience it. I like caves, but if I can't stand comfortably, I get angst.
It was a fun experience. My buddy was able to get into places my fit girlfriend at the time couldn't even get into because her hips were a bit too big.
It was great knowing you could get out once you got in & turned around. Almost like a 3D giant ant colony in structure, from what I recall 20ish years ago. That is the best way to describe it.
