I'm a new grandpa at age 71! Got two-four month old granddaughters. Still have 2 children who are not married. My new motto is "Babies R Us"! And I jokingly tell my children "be fruitful and multiply".
I have a former childhood friend that visited. He isn't a friend now just to be clear. But he visited my family where I lived anyways.
He got into drugs, and basically became a piece of shit. From intelligent computer engineer, to homeless. Now he is back home at age 43, living with his parents.
He was trying to argue to me that life was getting better and he had plans to start a handyman business. But first he needed to get a dirt bike.
I was like what? I tried to explain to him that if you are successful, guess what? Life is boring, and you search for contentment, not excitement. Being satisfied with where you are now, but always looking to the future. My life would be boring to some for the most part, but I am able to take my wife and kids on two vacations a year (recently I paid for the grandparents to come on one of those vacations to enjoy their grand kids). I have some hobbies, and I am content with where I am, in a stable home situation.
Going to be real: the hardest thing to do in life is get up in the morning, go to work, come home, and do it again the next day knowing what is coming, and knowing that if you fail, other people suffer.
Beautiful. Make more babies! ❤️🙏🏻
My daughter and son-in-law welcomed their second daughter to the world eight hours ago! Home birth and ZERO vaccines will be put into her.
Beautiful congrats! Contemplating a home birth we will see ❤️
Congratulations!
I just had my first 10 weeks ago, I’m hoping we’re blessed with siblings for her in the future!! 🤍
