You thought Canada was 100% cucked, eh? Alberta (the one with all the oil) PM Danielle Smith is about to invoke the newly-passed and never-before-used "Alberta Sovereignty Act" to stand up to the constant Castreau federal overreach! Let's hope we can say STOP, NO FURTHER to Ottawa's tyranny!

After watching the Canadian truckies in action I'll say I think very highly of some of our neighbors to the north now. One of the greatest protests ever.
Also the politest protest ever. They looked like they were having so much fun. I think that is what pissed Trudeau off the most. Good for them. I wanted one of those giant mining trucks to show up.
Same here. I think Canada, I think truckers.

Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act (SA 2022 cA-33.8) - Summary:
Enacted on: December 15, 2022.
Purpose: To defend Alberta's interests within the Canadian federation.
Legal Framework: Establishes a legal framework for challenging federal laws or policies negatively impacting Alberta.
Criteria for Impact: Specifies criteria for identifying federal laws or policies that are detrimental to the province.
Conflict Resolution: Outlines mechanisms for dispute resolution between Alberta and the federal government.
Autonomy: Emphasizes Alberta's autonomy in decision-making for its own needs.
Bill asserts Alberta has a distinct culture within Canada and Provincial government must uphold Albertan identity
Affirms Constitutional Acts of 1867, 1930, 1982 establish rights, freedoms and division of powers between provincial and federal governments
States Alberta possesses sovereign rights and powers under the Constitution that cannot be infringed upon by Federal government
Claims Federal laws and actions have increasingly infringed on Albertan's rights unjustly
Albertans expect Federal Parliament to respect Constitutional division of powers and authority
If Legislature approves a motion that a Federal law/action violates the constitution or harms Albertans, Lt. Governor can issue directives including:
Suspending/modifying provincial laws to counteract Federal initiative
Compelling provincial entities like health services to act against Federal initiatives
Restrict application of Federal laws/programs within province
Lt Governor directives legally binding on provincial entities
Legislature can later rescind approval, expiring Lt. Governor's directive powers
Judicial reviews of decisions under this Act face restrictions like 30 day filing deadline
Aims to assert Albertan sovereignty from perceived Federal overreach
No explicit separatist plans to leave Canada
Risks Constitutional clashes between levels of government
Unclear how directives compelling defiance of Federal policies would be enforced
Significant uncertainty around legality of provisions if challenged in Supreme Court
In summary, the Act seeks to give Alberta aggressive tools to counteract Federal government actions deemed detrimental to the province, while stopping short of outright separatism. The legal viability remains dubious. It appears more a political statement of grievance with excessive Federal power over Alberta.
Honk! Honk!! for Alberta!
I live in BC which is far more cucked than Alberta but it brings me joy and hope to see them making moves toward freedom. Eventually the it is gonna crack and it will benefit all of us
You even took our AB health minister!
Canadian anons, I hope you can answer this question: Does Canada have a charter or constitution that would support a province removing themselves from the national government?
I'm not a constitutional scholar, but going back a couple decades in history, Quebec wanted to separate, and the federal government at the time said they could not unilaterally do so. There were referenda about it, but in the end it didn't happen, and Quebec separatism has since lost a lot of momentum. Some in Alberta have floated the idea of separating and it's fairly popular among conservative Albertans but very unpopular elsewhere, especially because Alberta's energy resources are a huge part of Canada's GDP.
Way to go DANIELLE KICK THEIR ASSES
WHOOP!
I never thought Canada was cucked. I just thought they were canucked.
Take off hoser.
