Case in point. The three grandchildren, that I have access to and am able to give daily supplements to rarely get sick or if they do they have a less version of w/e is going around. My one daughter who jabbed her kids (I am continually praying for them) are constantly sick. She is complaining every week how they are sick again. The truth is in our faces, just look around.

^ this. My son just came down with a vicious, swollen throat. Iodine (and aspirin) and he bounced back within 48 hours.
Can you be more specific? What kind/brand? Swallow or gargle? Maintenance dose or only for issues?
Very much appreciated!
I've been taking Lugols for years after researching for years before starting it, and never read of this. Very interesting. Also, I believe Selenium is a co-supplement needed with iodine. I take Life Extensions selenium.
We use the type of iodine drops that can be swallowed. The brand is Clinicians but I believe in the States, there is a Lugol brand that is similar.
We use maintenance doses regularly, but when there is a sore throat it is used as many times as a person requires it - say 4 times daily. We try and drop it straight on the sore throat, so hold the head back and look up and aim the dropper at the back of the throat, (once one has gargled with a good-quality mouthwash, so all the crap is washed away).
In the late seventies I had a rotten strep throat, a doctor prescribed the 'topical iodine' and a special paint-brush to 'paint' my throat. This happened after antibiotics did not work. And yes the 'old' painting remedy worked immediately. So I guess that any kind of iodine will do. Just that this medicine in the seventies was very bitter and it made me gag a little. The 'oral' drops are a little more user-friendly.
Also Iodine deficiency is very common. One symptom is a feeling that some-one is choking one when one lies down, and this can prevent one from falling asleep. That is the thyroid gland that swells against the wind-pipe from a mild deficiency.
Lugols is a formulation of potassium iodide and iodine developed as a cure for tuberculosis, not a brand. There are multiple brands that sell it in different concentrations. The different forms of iodine make enhance absorption in the body.
OK. Thanks.

They still sell big swabs with iodine, for swiping in the nose and killing any germs. We've made dilutions for little mist bottles to pump spray. Both work, plus a gargle in the throat with iodine solution or mouthwash that has alcohol.
