Ok I know many of you are upset about the daily chat. Let's at least give it our best effort to make it work:) to help out I'm gonna bring back the daily Question of the day. As well as let's try to keep up the VERSE OF THE DAY 😜
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Besides Jesus who is your favorite biblical character and why?
(These won't always be Bible themed. Just felt led to start with Bible themed)
°mine often changed but atm it's probably Noah. I see how committed Noah was for so so long. People put him down and the whole world lost its way. Yet he carried on in the Lord and it paid off. Plus he got to see all the animals which I think would be awesome
I'll say David. He was a man of action, and not a coward. He wasn't perfect but he was a great man. He loved the Lord and trusted Him, even when he was continually surrounded by those conspiring evil against him. I would aspire to be more like him.
Wow solid response and was actually my #2 response. Well said fren. God bless. Much love
I would have to say Peter. For all kinds of reasons, his salt of the earth personality, he understood with his heart, he recognized Jesus as the Messiah, his epistles were short and from the heart. He, unlike Paul, stressed the importance of "works", not empty rituals or performances of Faith, but the work of forgiveness, charity, and love. He resonates with me, I wish I knew him.
Great response fren. Great reasons as well. God bless. Much love
Props to Noah's wife- she didn't get the Words directly but was in there through thick and thin, for the whole family. And the critters, even the snakes and rats and bugs... Hug your womenfolk!
Wow I absolutely love this. Yes 100% props to here. Not an easy thing that's for sure.
👏 bless you I have missed the daily questions, can't wait.
Awesome yeah I'm excited to get them going again :)
I'm in the same boat as DontTreadonIT - don't have enough breadth. I honestly only read the Bible when scripture pops up in my life which, thankfully, it does often and no small thanks to the General Chat and GAW in general for that. My faith is sustained mostly through as much prayer as I can remember to make, and attempting to interact as much as possible with other Christians in the wild. It's pretty rewarding as is, but I'm slowly working towards incorporating scripture and service more. I'm a busy guy, but I know I don't really have an excuse aside from being forgetful. Could go on more, but I won't.
Thanks for your efforts to make weekly work. o7
I'm on a spiritual pull and path also. I won't go on about it my post history is available to anyone. Scripture surly doesn't hurt!
Thanks for that honesty as well. Yes prayer is so so so important. It really renewed my soul in such a deep way. Glad to hear you are slowly incorporating scripture and service more. Keep it up. Praying for you my fren.
And of course fren. I hope others will give it an honest effort as well. God bless you fren. Love you
